Every time I go to Dr Malachovsky I'm seen immediately. I have not waited once. The receptionists are awesome and always remember my name. Dr M is extremely thorough and always asks me if I have any questions which is rare these days. I have no idea why some Dr's get upset if you ask questions and then either treat you like a child or an idiot. He listens intently and I've never once felt like a jack ass. In short? He's compassionate, always on schedule and open minded.

Dr. Malachovsky is soft-spoken and patient. I get the impression he's a bit overworked - he seemed tired; but this does not prevent him from answering questions in a kindly manner. What I like the best: he clearly respects the patients wishes regarding treatment. At the same time, he clearly states his own view. He seems to want to help the patient make an informed, thoughtful choice about such matters as medication. A very good doctor who richly deserves the high ratings he has gotten on this site.

Moving to a new city is stressful and my one of my biggest worries moving to NYC was finding a good doctor. Dr. Malachovsky is easily the best doctor I've had... here and anywhere for that matter. He is very attentive and knowledgeable in regard to his profession and patients. He listened to everything I had to say, and was very thorough in explaining procedures and medical care to me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Malachovsky and his staff. They were all very welcoming and made my visit stress and worry free!

Dr M is completely awesome. Every time I go to see him there is no wait and his staff is amazingly friendly. He listens intently and has made me feel at ease on both occasions I've visited him. He is the best doctor I have ever encountered! He has an exellent level of attentiveness to whatever your concerns may be. Just his calm, laid back demeanor made me feel at ease. When I come in for my visits he always sees me right away, virtually no waiting time! He is extremely accessible via phone, email, etc and he responds back to you in a very timely manner. He proved to be very knowledgable and informative when I needed clarity on any issues or concerns. I can't think of one negative thing to say about him. He's great!!!

Dr. Malachovsky is great!! Great staff; office functions like a well-oiled machine. Love the technology. He's truly a caring professional. During my one-hour appointment, he was with me nearly 45 minutes explaining his examination and his recommendations. He really investigated my concerns. I was super impressed. Coming from germany I have had been searching for a good doctor, who listens and takes his time for almost a decade now. I can say that I found him. Dr. Malachovsky and his staff are all incredibly nice - something unusual for a NYC office. I had an appointment at 10:15, was early and promptly saw the doctor without any waiting time whatsoever. For people with insurance he charges a very reasonable amount as well, which made me feel better and eliminated the common reaction of pushing out doctor visits until the last minute due to the fear of having to spend a fortune on a visit.

For the first time in my life (I'm 60) I am not hesitant to contact a Doctor or to make an appointment. The fact that it is so easy to do so on line is one of the major benefits of this system. Dr Malachovsky is thoughtful, actually listening to what you have to say, and gives the patient the feeling that he truly cares about your health. He responds to questions with answers that the common person can easily understand and is not mired down with medical terms that you would need to look up to understand. Dr. Malachovsky was the most patient and attentive doctor I've ever seen. Most doctors these days seem never to have time for questions, or even to adequately explain the patients' condition. I go to doctors generally expecting to force them to stay in the room and answer my questions while they squirm in their seat as if they have to go pee. No such experience with Dr. Malachovsky - he was thoughtful, considerate, and did nothing to make me feel rushed.

Dr Malachovsky and his staff were a breath of fresh air! I came very early to my appointment and I waited only minimally. Plus I was taken in nearly a half hour before my scheduled appointment. It was a little hard to find the right room (in the basement of the building) because there are so many doctors that work there even the receptionists can't keep up. But after finding the right room it was only a brief wait till Malachovsky saw me, very brief meeting, just a physical, but it went well, I would definitely recommend him.

I was very impressed with Dr. Malachovsky's thoroughness and patience. He gave me my annual physical in a thoughful and respectful way. He showed he's on top of the latest in medical research. He went above and beyond to explain things in an intelligent way. I was also impressed with his use of technology in communicating with me. He sent my my test results via email, with an explanation. At an age when many physicians out there are still paper and phone based, it's refreshing and reassuring to see that Dr. Malachovsky embraces technology to make life easier and simpler for his patients. I have never been in a more relaxed doctor's office or been greeted by such lovely receptionist. Nor have I ever met a doctor as soft-spoken and patient as Dr. Malachovsky. He listened to everything. He takes you into his actual office before examining you. There are no bright lights where they are not needed. They let a Pandora.com playlist fill your eyes with old soul music and you look at pictures of people from around the world while you wait. I have never had a doctor's visit this calming, which is great especially because I was especially on edge about my illness.

I work in healthcare, so I know what people tend to look for when the visit a doctor. Of course I may be wrong, but you tell me. 1. Reliable, of course, intelligent yet relatable, so you can speak to him like you would anyone else 2. "Of the times" (uses technology to make everything easier, for him and for his patients) 3. Caring. Dr Malachovsky does cares in such a way that it may be unprecedented! 4. Considerate. You want your doctor to know their stuff. This SHOULD include knowing that when you get there, you really don't want to wait a long time. 5. Accessible/Convenient. You can book appointments online! And the doc, if you need him, is really good about getting back to you promptly himself. Of course this happens from time to time; but there's no excuse for scheduling chaos day after day--only for you to sit there and watch it! This office knows how to get the perfect flow, so when you get there the doctor is ready for you. I can count how many minutes I had to wait in total for the 4 times I've gone on one hand. Other practices should model after this office (and doctor).

Excellent doctor, very impressed. After no wait time and an incredibly nice receptionist, he took the time to listen, asked the right questions, tactfully informed me that I had a virus instead of a sinus infection (even though I had already taken antibiotics for my self-diagnosed sinus infection) and gave me a prescription "just in case" it persisted for another week or two. Very professional, and I love that he is a humanitarian. He has photos of his work and patients in other parts of the world; you can see he's a doctor to diagnose and help people, not for the money or status. After almost 2 years in NYC, I've finally found my primary care doctor!

Dr Malachovsky is really patient and takes time to address all issues and concerns, and made me feel very comfortable to ask any questions related to my health. I didn't feel like I was being patronized or pressured to quickly complete the appointment. I would definitely recommend him to anyone, especially if you are not from the U.S, and you're not familiar with the health insurance system, or feel intimidated by it. I cannot recommend Dr. Malachovsky enough. I went to his office for a routine physical. It was my first time as his patient so before my appointment, I filled out an extensive questionnaire about my past and current state of health as well any specific concerns I might have had. Before beginning the physical, Dr. Marachovsky went through my responses, taking time to answer any questions. The physical itself went smoothly. The doctor has a very good bedside manner. I realized that I had forgotten a form that I needed him to fill out for my employer, and he made an appointment for me to come by the very next day so he could take care of it. Not only did sign the form, he also went over the results of my blood test from the day before. On top of all this, because my insurance does not cover office visits, Dr. Marachovsky only charged me $80.00 for everything except the lab costs, which were covered by my insurance plan. On the whole, it was an excellent experience.

I found his office very warm, not just a generic, sterile medical office as I have experienced in the past. The receptionist was also warm and friendly, we chatted quite a bit while she processed my information. Dr. Malachovsky was very thorough, but had a calming, mellow approach. It was my first visit, but so far I am very pleased. I also appreciated that test results, including x-rays, are made available via email if you want. With my work schedule, I can't take many calls but can jump on and check my email sporadically, this made getting results and information so fast, easy, and perfect for me. I intend to recommmend Dr. M. to anyone I know looking for a physician.

I had my first annual physical with Dr. Malachovsky and it was by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had with a physician. It was only my first time, but he seems like an excellent doctor and took his time to answer all of my questions, never making me feel rushed or insignificant. It's a small office set up for handling one patient at a time, so Dr Malachovsky and Adrienne (sp?), the wonderful receptionist, gave me their fullest attention and helped me through what can often be a confusing and uncomfortable physical.

It seems that the standard practice when you make an appointment with a doctor is to spend more time with the staff rather than the doctor. Usually, the doctor has numerous other patients lined up and you get to see him for a total of about 5 mins. But with Dr. Malachovsky, he stays with you all the way through; he even draws the blood. He really was helpful, answered all my questions, and spent time explaining things to me. With my last doctor, some member of his staff (not the doctor of course) called me up and gave me the results of my blood work, which was everything seems fine, but your cholesterol is high. That was it; no explanation, no, this is what you should be doing, nothing. It was obvious I was yet again just in a long line of patients that this person had to get to that day. But with Dr. Malachovsky, he called me up and sent the actual results (along with some materials to help me understand what I was reading) via email. Really helpful. And I am not a person who likes to go to doctors. But I would recommend him highly. He doesn't have a large staff (other than a pretty friendly office manager), and I find this to be actually a good thing. And by the way, I am usually not very trustful of user reviews. But I found that the favorable reviews on this site were pretty spot on.
