Dr. Matthew Guy is a gastroenterologist and Board Cerified internist treating patients in Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau County and ALL of Greater New York. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi, Mensa and the Triple Nine Society (whose members have IQ’s at or above the top 0.1%).
Having graduated summa cum laude from the Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, Dr. Guy continued his medical education at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in the City of New York. At Columbia, he completed a medical degree and a medical science degree in physiology and medicine. Hecompleted an internship, residency and fellowshipsin internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Guy’s areas of professional focus include upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and the endoscopic control of bleeding. He is also experienced in the infra-red destruction of hemorrhoids, the management of strictures and GI obstruction, and other gastrointestinal procedures as well as in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases such as Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's and in the management of Pancreatic and Liver Diseases. Dr Guy is especially interested in common GI disporders such as Ulcers, gastritis, and Irritible Bowel Syndrome. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Guy enjoys model railroading, long road trips, and spending time with his wife and family.
