Dr Scanlan combines Naturopathic Medicine with Acupuncture to treat most conditions. One of the benefits of working with Dr Scanlan is her knowledge of the health care system and how best to navigate your way through it. Having a naturopathic Acupuncturist as part of your health care team gives you the advantage of trying to detect illness in the early stage and make the lifestyle adjustments to improve your health and sense of well being. Dr Scanlan’s initial evaluation includes a current assessment of your blood reviewing the basic metabolic state, such as glucose, lipids, RBC & WBCS, thyroid, autoimmune markers, vitamin D and hormones. It is common for her to evaluate food allergies as well since that can often be the underlying cause of many illnesses. From there Dr Scanlan creates a treatment plan based on ones unique needs to get you on your path to better health.
