Patient Reviews for Maxim Tyorkin, MD
dr tyorkin was very attentive and very helpful. I would recommend him to my friends if in need. His staff was very nice.
He was very professional and corteous. He listned and then made a decision on what to do next. I recommend him for anyone that needs Orthopedic advice.
I have a strong dislike for doctors, however, I feel very comfortable with Dr. Tyorkin. He is straight to the point and very pleasant with his delivery. I would recommend his service to the person closest to me. If you go with Dr. Tyorkin, you will not regret it!
A very professional and attentive doctor. Well organized office. Highly recommend.
The wait was about a half an hour... that because there were three or four people ahead of me, so that's understanding! Dr. Tyorkin and staff treated me like a patient who is in need of help! They were very professional!
It was great. very friendly and easy to talk to. I will definitely be returning.
Dr. Tyorkin was great. He made me feel as ease from the get go. I did not have to wait long and was able to get x-rays done in the office as well. I would definitely recommend.
I picked Dr. Tyorkin after reading reviews on ZocDoc and I wasn't disappointed. I only had to wait half an hour. The PA, Eleanora, was very nice and had a good bedside manner along with the Dr. I felt like he spent enough time with me and answered all of my questions so that I didn't feel rushed out of there.
Dr. Tyorkin was very nice. Great bedside manner. He quickly diagnosed the porblem and made the whole visit very quick.
I made an appointment with Dr. Tyorkin on behalf of my wife, who was experiencing increasingly severe pain in her shoulder. She is extremely nervous about going to doctors in general, which makes it all the more meaningful that she found Dr. Tyorkin to be so kind, patient, gentle and thorough. He quickly and accurately diagnosed her problem (excessive calcification in her rotator cuff), carefully explained his initial course of pain management and, when the problem did not spontaneously resolve (as such problems sometimes do), quickly scheduled and performed surgery that was as relatively painless as it was successful. Prior to, during, and subsequent to the day of surgery, Dr. Tyorkin made himself exceptionally available (even on the weekend) to patiently answer all of our questions and allay our concerns. Simply put, Dr. Tyorkin is one of the best doctors either of us has ever had. All orthopedic patients should be lucky enough to work with professionals as kind, skillful and empathic as Dr. Tyorkin. We are enormously grateful to him.
The doctor was very helpful and gave me a detailed explanation for his diagnostic and prescription. I particularly liked that he apologized for not being available in a previous appointment due to an emergency; as well as the fact that he really made sure I understood the prognosis and required treatment.
I appreciated his caution in recommending additional cortisone injections. My previous doctor wanted to go that route. Very prompt service. The office staff should notify first time patients upon appointment confirmation that only cash/check is accepted. They are not willing to bend this policy even for the unaware.
He gave me excellent care and I would recommend him to others..
HE WAS VERY NICE & RESPECTFULL
The doctor explained everything to me and did a thorough exam. He was personable. I did not wait but I was the first appointment of the day
The office is right on park avenue so the interior is relaxing, clean, and spacious. Immediately after I filled out all the paperwork, I was taken to one of the exam rooms where Dr. Tyorkin came in probably 5 mins after. Quick but attentive (very good when you need to make your visit efficient during work hours) and listened to my concerns- he did not give the impression that he was thinking of his next patient which is too common these days with doctors. It's also great that they have another office conveniently located in Forest Hills.
Very professional. Took time to answer questions and did not rush through the appointment. Would definitely recommend.
Very Good...Took the time to explain things, would definitely recommend.
I was satisfied by everything when I attended Dr. Tuorkin's office. Courtesy of staff, expertise of the doctor, almost immediate take in, easy-to-find location-this is just the facts that I would recommend to everybody to make to an appointment to consult with this doctor.
It was my first visit to this doctor for knee & hip pain that has a long history. He was thorough in his questioning to get all the background information and examination. He seemed knowledgable and set forth a course of action that includes physical therapy and not surgery. I've experienced surgeons who are so single focused and prescribe surgery right away. He was not like this which I really appreciated. In addition, he seems like a positive and balanced thinker. He gave me his thoughts on running and it was NOT doom and gloom, which I've had other doctors do.
Dr. Tyorkin is quite knowledgeable and was helpful in diagnosing my knee problem. Additionally, he was great at trying to find me a convenient PT location. Only knock was the 40+ minute wait although I had an appointment.
I had a perfect visit with Dr. Tyorkin - no complaints whatsoever. I definitely recommend to future patients.
Had a great appointment today -- everyone in the office was very friendly and I was seen quickly. Dr. Tyorkin was helpful and knowledgeable.
Very nice person, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to.
although having to wait for over an hour once I did see Dr. Tyorkin he was very quick to apologies for the wait and said they were down staff due to the holiday. However, he was very nice, willing to explain information in detail, and I would certainly recommend.
I scheduled a visit with Dr. Tyorkin when my father was having foot pain. Ultimately, Dr. Tyorkin was not the right doctor for him (different problem than his specialty). He seemed a bit impatient with my father (who is not a native english speaker) and kind of rushed through the appointment, yet there was no one else in the waiting room. Off the record, he is gorgeous.
thorough and pleasant and professional
Professional, straightforward, clear and concise.
The doctor was very nice and able to help me. However, I waited a very long time in a very crowded office.
It's too early to tell about the diagnosis -- I just saw him this afternoon -- but overall I was very satisfied with my visit. I was desperate with ankle pain, and it wasn't serious enough for the ER, and I wanted to see someone right away. This site is a good one; I got an appointment for the next day -- almost unheard of in New York City.
