Dr. Melissa Duperval DO

I thought she was very pleasant. She was respectful of my time. I was in and out in 30 minutes. She also asked very good questions and was very attentive.

It's not easy to make a visit to your gynecologist comfortable, but she did. very professional, makes you feel at ease.

I am not happy. I did happen to be 11mins late for my appointment but I still don't see why that constitutes my being seen 50 mins later. Dr. Duperval was very nice, and warm and had a certain likability. But literally I saw for her two sessions of two minutes at a time, by the time I put my panties back on, I heard her voice in another operatory speaking with another pt. And I was left there kind of not knowing what to do next. I mean, at least tell me where I can wipe up this lubercation that was left inside of private area. Additionally I made the appointment for one real reason, and that was to get my birth control prescription refilled, the papsmear was actully secondary. I had given the front desk receptionist/medical assistant my pills to look at, and even corrected her when she said the wrong name for it. Low and behold I get to the pharmacy and it's still the wrong dang pill that was prescribed to me. Now the office is closed, I'm headed on vacation in two days and will run out before I return! Well thanks alot that's just what I needed!!

She is very professional and warm. I really like her.

When I walked into the office, I was greeted right away. I had fill out some papers and after that they took me right away into the room. Dr. Duperval was very nice, she listened to me carefully and answered all my questions. I like her a lot.

Dr. Duperval is great, and the office is very friendly. I'm greeted by name whenever I come in, which is always impressive.

I could not be more pleased with this physician. She was the ultimate professional.

I went in for an annual/pap and because I'd like to have a regular gyno. No complaints about her attitude save for the end of the exam. The exam was super fast. Thing is, I was kind of put off by how the exam ended. She basically just stood up after she was finished, told me that I'd get contacted in 2 weeks if the pap was abnormal, and left. It took about .05 seconds. I was still in the stirrups, so that was kind of off-putting. I had also wanted to ask her about birth control options but the exam ended so suddenly and I wasn't sure what to do since it had been several years since I had an exam like this. Felt really awkward so I just got quickly dressed and zipped out of there. I may give the office a call to see if she can give me a prescription without having me come in again. Most of the visit was fine save for the end so I may give her another shot. My feelings are mixed but are leaning towards the positive side.

I felt comfortable the moment she walked in the examination room. She and her staff took their time to explain exactly what I needed to do from the time I walked in. Dr. Duperval answered all my questions & asked questions rearding my family medical history. A great experience - will surely be back.

Dr Duperval is phenomenal. She was friendly and warm from the moment she walked into the room. She was patient and throughout with me. This was my first visit and I will absolutely be going back. The waiting room isn't large, but because people were taken quickly, everyone had room to sit. I used to dread going to the GYN before, not anymore. Her staff is also very helpful and pleasant. Overall, Dr. Duperval gets an A+ in my book!

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Duperval. I think a lot of women would agree that going to the gynecologist can be a bit awkward but I felt very comfortable with Dr. Duperval. She is very knowledgeable and approachable and really tries to make you comfortable. A wonderful doctor!

The wait time is always around 10 minutes, but I showed up late today and was seen right away. I love Dr. Duperval! She's always been kind, empathetic, and straightforward, which is exactly what a doctor (especially an OBGYN!) should be. Love her. :)

Very nice, professional doctor. She knew what she was doing and was very nice to me as well. The office was small and so was the wait time for both my visits.

I was seen very quickly here. Didn't spend much time with the doctor (~5 minutes), but I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, which was great.

Facility wasn't very clean, I saw another persons checkup instruments sitting on the counter covered with bodily fluids, and it was disgusting. I didn't want to be examined in such a place and almost walked out. She was nice and was fine but the cleanliness really turned me off from ever going back!

The actual exam was SUPER fast. There was a nurse in the room during the exam as well, which might be weird for more modest patients. She was really wonderful to talk to, which for me is so important--she took the time to get to know me up top, she was very thorough, and she was kind when I got emotional as I always do at OBGYNs for some reason :)

The doctor was quick, efficient and warm at the same time. The only reason the visit lasted so long is because it was my first visit ever and I forgot to bring cash and had to run to an ATM. Everyone was quick and courteous. I will definitely return.

I enjoyed the visit. While the office is pretty behind technology wise (all paper sign-in) and I waited for an hour +, there were magazines to keep me occupied. She was knowledgeable and welcoming.

Dr. Duperval was very friendly and very fast. The whole pelvic exam took less than 5 minutes. She asked a few questions but I didn't feel it was as thourough as other OB-GYN's I had been too. I didn't have to wait long at all. A few things that could be improved: the waiting room is a somewhat messy, and the receptionist is at an open desk with patient's papers all over the place. Not great for patient privacy. Also, the nurse was in the room for my entire pelvic exam, handing over instruments. I've never seen this before. It's bad enough to have one person, but two was a little much.

Living in NYC and finding a OBGYN online seems risky but she had the best reviews and lived up to it. The office was clean, she was friendly and made me feel comfortable. She's a warm person and a good doctor.

Dr. Duperval was very nice and saw me right away. It was a quick visit, and it felt like I was in and out in five minutes. She seemed capable, but didn't impress me enough to want return to her office which is not convenient to mine.

Love her. This is my third time seeing her. Waited for about 8-10 minutes, and my visit lasted no longer than 5 minutes since she knew my history and knew what medication I needed.

The doctor displayed good bedside manners, but I felt like she was rushing while asking me questions. I was in for initial pregnancy check up n it wasnt as I expected from readin previous reviews. Hopefully my next visit will be better.

My appointment was smooth, fast, and efficient. I came in, filled out paperwork, and was seen within 10 minutes. Dr. Duperval listened well, addressed my concerns, and was very quick and honest. The whole appointment took about 30 minutes. Afterwards, I still had a question for Dr. Duperval, and instead of talking about it at the front desk, she invited me back inside the private room to talk a little more about it. I appreciated this immensely.

Dr Duperval was very thorough, proactive and made me feel very comfortable with her skill and competence. Dr. Duperval is not the first OB we've met in our search but I think we've found our Doc!

I thought she was very attentive. Her bedside manner was great. She seemed concerned about what I had to discuss with her. I was wowed by the eye contact she introduced herself I felt comfortable. I recommended her to a coworker whom has an appt with her. I hope to have a great Dr. pt. relationship! I definitely would recommend her based on my experiences with past obgyn.

I followed all the outstanding reviews to dr Duperval when I needed a new obgyn. I saw her in the Tribeca office twice and it was the worst! The office seemed dirty. The bathroom has a flickering florescent light in it that made me almost pass out. While in the exam room she saw me for about three min. No pre/post office discussion. She dis not take any time to really listen to my concerns. When i returned for an ultrasound (which you can only schedule every OTHER thurs) there was half drunken cup of soda with a straw in it on the edge of the sink in the exam room! While I was having an exam!!!! When I returned with some concerns she didn't suggest any tests or try to figure out what was happening at all - just suggested drugs. I find it really hard to believe so many people have had good experiences (I'm glad they did). I however did not! I have since found a new Dr I love. I would not recommend this Dr.

Dr. Duperval was very nice and very thorough. She took the time to answer all questions, and suggested a reasonable and proactive treatment/monitoring plan. I did have a couple of minor concerns with the administrative aspects of the practice, though. Dr. Duperval's name does not actually appear on any of the 80 Warren St. building's buzzers, and then the office waiting area does not indicate at which desk one needs to check-in. More significantly, while my insurance provides that one's Ob/Gyn. is billed as one of a woman's two primary care doctors that requires the lower co-pay, this office claimed it should be billed as a specialist visit and that I owed the higher specialist's co-pay. I guess I currently don't understand how a pelvic exam here is any more specialized than when done at my prior Ob/Gyn.'s office...

I found Dr. Duperval to be very pleasant and informative during my visit. Her staff was also very kind and professional. I definitely plan on seeing Fr. Duperval for my future OBGYN needs.

It's very rare that you can find a doctor that on your first visit instead of rushing you to get to the next patient, they make you feel like you have had a relationship for years. This is how I felt on my first visit with Dr. Duperval. I have recently been looking for a GYN and I will chose her. Very highly recommended!!!!

Dr. Duperval was wonderful as was her assistant Ilyana who was kind enough to give me directions for the subway to the doctor's office. I was a bit nervous about the appointment itself but Dr. Duperval was very friendly and put me immediately at ease. She's a busy doctor but she gave me 100% attention and care. I felt very confident in her skills and her office.

Dr. Duperval was amazing. I had a minor emergency and was able to get an appointment the same day! I went on my lunch break and the office staff had me in and out in no time at all--but at the same time I did not feel rushed and was able to talk about all of my concerns. I am going to have Dr. Duperval be my regular gynecologist. She made the whole experience non-nerve-wracking and was sweet, sensitive, with a sense of humor. I highly recommend her.

Both the doctor and her assistant were great! They made me feel totally comfortable, which is not easy to do when you're sticking a giant metal claw into someone's ladybits. Highly recommended!

After reading the comments about Dr. Duperval I wanted to see for myself. Making an appointment for the GYN is not the most fun thing in the world. However, Dr. Duperval was very kind and understanding, and made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. I was done in no time. I will be returning for my annual visit.

She was amazing. Made me feel super comfortable and was very efficient once the exam started. I only wish I didn't have to wait 25 min especially since I showed up 15 min early to do any preliminary paperwork.

I went to a gynecologist after 2 years, because my first gynecologist was really scary. And I am looking forward to seeing her again for our routine checkup. She is very nice and humble and makes you feel comfortable.

Dr. Duperval was very nice and helpful with my questions. She and her staff made the appointment as pleasant as possible! The only inconvenience was that they only accepted cash or check for payments, and I had to go to an ATM, which made my appointment start a little late. Bring cash or a check book to your appointment.
