Dr. Michael Manning is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist recognized as a leader in cataract and refractive surgery as well as cosmetic eyelid surgery.
After
graduating as valedictorian of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Manning accepted multiple scholarships to Rollins College where he majored in Chemistry and earned a Bachelor of Arts through the distinguished Honors Degree Program. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship Year at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and went on to complete Ophthalmology Residency Training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where he was selected as Chief Resident.
Dr. Manning specializes in Cataract and Lens Replacement Surgery, Refractive Surgery including All-Laser LASIK, Functional and Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, as well as medical and surgical treatment of Glaucoma. Additional areas of focus include the treatment of diabetic eye disease, dry eye syndrome, and macular degeneration. Dr. Manning has served as a Principle Investigator and Co-Investigator of different medical and surgical eye care studies especially studies focused on optimizing patient’s visual outcomes with cataract and lens implant surgery.
Dr. Manning has given presentations at both national and international Ophthalmology meetings. Further, he has co-authored publications including a textbook chapter in the highly esteemed Albert & Jakobiec’s Principles & Practice of Ophthalmology (3rd Edition), described by The Journal of the American Medical Association as “the current standard in comprehensive ophthalmology textbooks.” Dr. Manning resides in the Tampa Bay area and enjoys outdoor activities, travel…

He was very nice and he answered all my questions and then some! The staff were very kind and they all staff and Dr Manning made you feel very comfortable. I will definitenly go backand recommend Dr Manning!
