Michael J. Reid was born in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester, New York, then moved west and studied medicine at University of Oregon Medical School. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Stanford University Medical School. With an interest in the intricacies of the immune system, he went back to Stanford for a prestigious Fellowship in Allergies and Immunology.
