Dr. Michele Martinho MD

Dr. Martinho is professional, efficient and competent. I'm very glad I found her.

I went for my first time today. She is efficient and smart. Not particularly warm. Have your questions ready, as she might be out the door before you remember to ask them (but maybe that was just today, in all fairness). Office staff v. nice. Waiting room very nice. Her office is in the lower level of a brownstone, which is terrific. Easy parking and access to subway. I will continue to go to her.

Dr. Martinho was great, very nice and helpful. She was right on time for my appointment and was efficient but thorough. I'll definitely go back.

I am very picky as I have had a slew of great physicians before morning to New York but Dr. Martinho has kept the bar high. She is friendly, helpful, caring and thorough. I would recommend her to any of my friends or family in the city.

Dr. Martinho is wonderful. She spends an adequate amount of time with you before moving onto her next patient. She listens to your concerns and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking simple questions. I fully intend on returning for annual check-ups.

I am so happy I found Dr. Martinho...it is a rarity to find a doctor that does not rush you through an appointment and actually stops to take the time to talk to you like a regular person. Can't say enough about her welcoming personality and easy going demeanor. Had to wait 30 min in the office, and sometimes the front desk staff seems a little standoffish- but all in all, still worth it.

I felt like I could ask her anything and that I wasn't being rushed through, which I appreciate...I think after 5 years in NY I've finally found my doctor!

Forgot to mention that I loved being able to print off & fill out the new patient paperwork ahead of time, but it wasn't complete. I thought I had come into the appointment prepared and would be good to go right away. But instead, I get there & the medical history form needed to be filled out (which always takes forever). Please make this form available to be filled out ahead of time too!

She was great- very friendly and interested in talking with me. I am glad to finally have found a doctor in the city whom I will go back to again!

Smart, funny, trustworthy. She takes her time during your visit--late day appts are usually way way backed up as a result. Worth the wait!

I can't possibly say enough good things about Dr. Martinho and her office. I waited just about 30 minutes, which I thought was totally reasonable. The ladies at the front desk were efficient and helpful. As for Dr. Martinho, well, I kind of wanted to hug her when I left the exam room. She was so kind, patient, and easy to talk to- it was sort of like talking to a friend. She asked great questions, listened to my concerns, and provided me with excellent information. I left her office feeling better than I ever have with any PCP. For the first time ever, I'm actually excited to see a doctor again.

Dr. Martinho was really, really nice. I felt super comfortable talking to her and she seemed like she knew her stuff. I only gave her 4 out of 5 stars because the visit seemed a bit rushed. Overall, amazing Dr. but WILL NOT GO BACK and WILL NOT RECOMMEND because of the staff. I could not believe how rude the receptionist / office person was. She was so rude to everyone that called (everyone in the waiting room could hear), then she would talk about them to the other workers in the office after she got off, roll her eyes constantly when asked a question and almost made a young lady cry when they were trying to figure out the insurance coverage.

Dr. Martinho is phenomenal! She listened intently and explained her process throughout my appointment. Not only was she extremely helpful and made me feel at ease, but she was incredibly personable as well. A wonderful combination for a physician!

I enjoyed my time with Dr. Martinho. She went over my medical history and I found her to be very personable.

Though the wait was long, it was well worth it. Dr. Martini was warm, patient, and explained everything thoroughly. She did not seem rushed at all, and I felt like I had her undivided attention.

Very personable and seemed to genuinely listen to what I was saying. Also, she's the only doctor to ever suggest having my medical records sent to her to review.

Dr. Martinho was great - she was easy to talk to and explained the things she would be testing for in a very approachable way without being condescending; she was also able to address some of my concerns without any of the (seemingly arbitrary) skepticism that I've seen from some doctors about health complaints, and spontaneously remembered me a couple days later when looking at my chart and had her assistant call me with a sample and prescription that she thought would help (and did) with a medical issue I deal with chronically. Couldn't ask for better!

Dr. Martinho was so easy to talk to. She was friendly and thorough. I usually feel nervous in doctor's offices but she made me feel really comfortable and had a great knowledge of the questions I asked. I would definitely return.

She's excellent, particularly for bright gen-X people who want someone who they can talk with vs being talked at by someone who looks like their dad. The wait was a bit long, but not too bad. If it's your first visit, it might be wise to plan for a bit extra time and be pleasantly pleased if it doesn't happen vs coming in the middle of a busy day. The office is clean and neat and the staff friendly and upbeat.

Dr. Martinho and her staff were very warm, friendly and accommodating. I was a bit nervous at first as this is my first visit with this dr. but I will 100% return. She is very warm and very smart. She asked lots of important questions to get to know my health and also provided answers to all of my questions. She took her time and had a pleasant demeanor. She will now be my primary care dr. I highly recommend her to everyone. The lady at the front desk was also very nice and organized. She really runs a good operation there.

Dr. Martinho was great but her staff was a little unprofessional. I had my blood drawn by the person who was also the receptionist and she was talking on a blue tooth while taking my blood. Sort of strange.

Great doctor, but front desk is pretty disorganized. Dr. Martinho apologized profusely for the wait (they confirmed my appt in the AM for 1:30PM, it was in fact 1:45PM, I waiting 60 minutes). Worth the wait though--caring, efficient, kind, just what you want in a doc. Will use her as my GP from now on.

Dr. Martinho was very pleasant and professional. I appreciated the time she took to address all my concerns. Prior to seeing her, I didn't have a regular PCP but will definitely go to her again with any issues. Front office was unfortunately somewhat dismissive.

I wanted to see a dr right away so I just intuitively selected Dr. Martinho out of drs who had a same day appt. open, and I was really glad I did. I did have to wait a little while, but given I had only made the appt. a couple of hrs before she saw me, I had no problem with that. Even though she was busy, she spent all the time with me she needed to without being rushed. I loved that she treated me and my opinions with respect and equality - I look for drs who can partner with the patient in the healing process. She was very competent, knowledgeable and down to earth and to the point answering all my questions and making sure I didn't forget to ask her anything. She also seemed to just have a lot of common sense. I would describe her bedside manner as very soothing and relaxed without a fuss. I would definitely refer her as an all-around top choice.

I thought she was great. I got in quickly and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall as good an experience as going to the doctors can be!
