Dr. Mittleman Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University in 1971. He proceeded to do his Medical School training at the Medical college of Wisconsin, receiving his M.D. degree in 1975. Dr. Mittleman completed his Internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City in1976 and followed this with his residency in Otolaryngology at NYU-Bellevue Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident at both Bellevue and the VA Medical Center. He has served the Queens community for the past 30 years, building an outstanding reputation in the community for his skills in all aspects of General Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and is a Senior Ear, Nose and Throat Attending at both New York Medical Hospital of Queens and Flushing Hospital. His practice is noted not only for being of a high level of competence but of also the highest level of compassion. He continues to lecture and teach residents. His office staff is always available to care for all your needs.

Dr, Mittleman is a dream come true - he was initially recommended by a neighbor of mine and then I found him on ZocDoc to check out his background. He is extremely knowledgeable, totally down to earth and even has a sense of humor! His office staff was very friendly and his waiting room is spic and span - even has NY1 to keep you entertained in case he is running late. I consider myself truly fortunate to have found such an excellent ENT doctor.

Im a parent of Dave. He said the service was fast and the doctor is good. However I had a incident that I couldnt remember the receptionist name that I spoke to over the phone. She was very helpful and pleasant on phone but in peron she seem a bit cold and wouldnt smile I believe her name is Karen, However the rest of staff was very pleasant. They laughed when I kept confusing her name and I laugh as well but she never cracked a smile she seem a little troubled

Dr. Mittleman is a sweetheart, and his gentle ways calmed my nerves. He seems to be very intuitive: he basically knew what I had just by my description of my symptoms. Furthermore, when he officially gave me the diagnosis, he printed out an article on the condition for me to take home and a website for more info.
Dr. Mittleman was very personable and easy to speak to. I never saw an otolaryngologist before,and he explained what he was doing, and what the results of his findings were. I would recommend him to anyone, particularly vocalists who need their "instrument" checked!

Dr. Mittleman's receptionist was very pleasant, the waiting area was quiet, and I waited only about 15 minutes to be seen. Dr. Mittleman had a very reassuring manner, listened to me, and explained everything he was going to do before he did it.
It was so comforting to hear his comments and with his good humor it really makes it a pleasure going to the Doctor.

Inspite of feeling so terrible and under the weather, Dr. Mittleman was so sunny and upbeat that in a very short time I was smiling and 'feeling' better. The appointment time was right on schedule and I was in and out in less than a half hour. Wonderful staff, clean office, and certainly convenient scheduling..thank you.
