Dr. Nathanael Horne MD

My visit with Dr. Nathanael Horne was far and away the best experience I've had with an MD -- and I've had many in the last several months! He listened, and despite an odd presentation of symptoms, was encouraging and non-dismissive. Even though the likely culprit for my symptoms is, ultimately, not within his specialty, he may have been the first person to give me the correct diagnosis. He referred me to a colleague and even reviewed my previous testing. Contrary to what I've experienced previously, he did not rush me in and out of the appointment. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Horne spent a ton of time with me. I assume this was partly because I was the first appointment of the day, and he didnt have anyone scheduled immediately after, but it was certainly a unique experience to have a doctor spend so much time talking with me about my problem. He seems like a really good person, and very knowledgeable and up to date in his approach.

Dr. Horne was thorough in getting the whole picture of the problem that I presented. He educated me as to treatment possibilities and was respectful in terms of involving me in the decision making. He seemed to be very competent and has a very pleasant manner. He is my new Allergist and I am delighted to have found him.

Great doctor who really took the time to listen and I didn't feel rushed at all. I had an allergic reaction on my face and because I was on a medication to treat it I couldn't do the skin allergy test this visit but I will be back. He gave me some Vanicream soap samples so I could wash my face without it becoming more irritated which I really appreciated. I will be back for the allergy test in the next few weeks. I recommend completing all the patient forms sent to you prior to your visit. It really saves time in the waiting room. I waited less than 5 minutes.

He was caring and considerate. He took all that I said to come up with the best course of action for my problem. He also is going out of his way to do some research on a possible allergy.

Dr. Horne and his staff are truly incredible. I felt completely at ease showing up with my partner and both of us sharing information in order to provide the doctor with insight into my allergy and asthma needs. We arrived about 10 minutes late then finished the new patient paperwork. After completing the paperwork, I was called in about 5 minutes later. New patient paperwork, initial allergy testing (skin test), and pulmonary testing were all taken care of in the first visit! In addition, all the testing and subsequent information/discussion were done in less than 60 minutes. At no point did I feel I was being rushed, nor did Dr. Horne and his nurse seem to be rushed; my partner and I were given great attention, and I received a very thorough examination and prescriptions/immunotherapy options breakdown. In fact, we asked for a referral for a PCP, and Dr. Horne's staff researched doctors in the area who they usually refer to but who also accepted my insurance so that I wouldn't have to do too much additional leg work. I look forward to continuing my care with Dr. Horne in order to resolve/take care of my asthma and allergy issues.

Dr Horne was extremely helpful. He really took the time to listen to all my problems and so far, I feel as if he covered all of his bases for a first appointment. Although it will take time to find the cause of my allergic reaction, he gave me medication that has helped immensely with all my symptoms. I am already feeling much better due to his help, and I'm sure he will help me determine the cause of this problem.

It is always a pleasure seeing Dr. Horne. His staff is efficient and helpful and there was almost no wait. Dr. Horne is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He is a wonderful Doctor and I highly recommend him!

Dr. Horne is thorough without being overbearing, and pleasant without seeming fake. I hadn't seen him in about two years, in which time he'd moved offices, and yet he remembered my name and complaints. It was as if I'd seen him last week. His staff was nice and organized, and I was seated within two minutes of completing my paperwork. Right on time.

Dr. Horne is a very nice and kind-mannered doctor, but... Instead of attempting to get to the heart of the matter, he simply treated the symptoms. I came to him with an allergy which he attributed to dust through a blood test. However, he failed to recognize that dust spores are often secondary allergens because of how common they are, and the real cause is often something else. That something else turned out to be a food allergy, but I discovered this through no help of his, and after much time and health wasted. Even worse, he simply prescribed drugs. He is an example of the kind of doctor to avoid.
