I went to the Upper West Side Urgent Care for a strep test, because it was Saturday, so my primary care doctor's office was closed. The care I received from Dr. Shipley and his staff was efficient, thorough, friendly and covered by my medical insurance. Thank you!
It was perfect, went in sick and left with prescriptions and instructions on how to make myself feel less miserable. Was in an out (in less than 30 minutes) and got what I needed - just as urgent care should be. I've been here before and will definitely return again.

I found him very simpatico and he prescribed 3 generic drugs, so it didn't cost me a packet when I went to have the prescriptions filled.

Dr. Shipley was very personable and professional. Further, the Urgent Care facility has the BEST staff I have ever encountered; they could not be more sweet, caring, and helpful. It really does feel like a different world in terms of doctors' offices.

Dr. Shipley ended up having to do a more personal exam than he or I had anticipated, but he put me at ease in what could have been a very uncomfortable situation. My problem couldn't be instantly resolved, but I think he was as helpful as anyone could have been, and he stayed late at the end of the day to make sure I had all the information I needed. The office staff were extremely helpful and friendly, as well.

I was very surprised by and happy with the efficiency and warmth of this place. Neither are what you would expect of a urgent care facility. I wish this was a regular doctors office I could go to regularly.
Dr. Shipley was extremely attentive, warm, and responsive. I enjoyed his bedside manner and respectfulness to my intimate situation. I was however surprised he wasn't aware of Dexilant (albeit a very new drug), and was also surprised he 'prescribed' me OTC medicine without noting it was OTC. It would have been nice to have him explain the medicine in person. Overall however, it was a very very good experience. The office was impeccebly clean and nice and the receptionists were very professional and warm and kind. What is up with paper though? My clinic at Walgreens back in Florida had paperless record systems. With such a new office, you'd think it would be paperless.
