Board Certified by the American Board of Orthpaedic Surgery, Canadian Royal College of Physicains and Surgeons Dr. Wolfson has developed clinical expertise in the following areas of orthopaedic surgery: the replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder joints; hip joint resurfacing; hip, knee, and ankle arthroscopy; and other reconstructive joint procedures. Additionally, Dr. Wolfson treats complex fractures and their complications as well as sports injuries. He was one of the earliest practitioners of the Ilizarov Technique in North America (for a complete list of specialties click here).
Recognized around the world for his many contributions to the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Wolfson was one of the first surgeons to implement the Direct Anterior approach for hip replacement surgery. He also has a special interest in joint and limb preservation surgery, a challenging and evolving field of orthopaedics.
