Dr. Mathieu was fantastic. I went in for a travel consultation and was seen promptly. He was very knowledgeable and really took time to explain everything to me. The appointment felt very through and not rushed at all. He provided me with different options and explained each in detail. Very pleasant to speak with. he then offered to help me with some other issues, he was very very helpful. I think I have found a new internist! Go see him he is great.

I have been to see Dr. Mathieu before, and he himself is always fine, but today my appointment was at 2:30 and I was not seen until 3:20. I hope this was the exception, and not becoming the norm in the office

I went to Dr. Mathieu for a travel consultation. This is the first doctor appointment I've had in NYC where the doctor was actually punctual. He was very knowledgeable and ensured all of my questions were answered.

Dr. Mathieu was very thorough and didn't make me feel rushed like so many doctors tend to do. He answered all of my questions with thoughtful explanations, and his demeanor seemed genuinely warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Mathieu's is wonderful. I went to see him on a weekday afternoon for my annual physical and after filling out some paperwork (this was my first visit), waited under five minutes before my name was called. I was attended to by two nurses, both of whom were polite, warm and courteous. I hate getting my blood drawn but the attending nurse was so pleasant that I barely noticed it was happening. Dr. Mathieu's himself was great--knowledgable, kind and attentive, he listened patiently to all my questions and answered them thoroughly. I never felt rushed and, at the end, he offered to call me personally the following week to tell me the results of my tests. He followed through and was, once again, thorough and helpful. I give Dr. Mathieu's my highest recommendation.
Dr. Mathew was helpful, punctual and he seems to be a caring person. His bedside manner has been good for my two visits.

Great Doctor. I went for my annual physical. Dr Paul takes time to discuss all matters (unlike several doctors in the city who always seem to be in a rush). The form filling in the beginning takes the usual 10 min or so, and there was not much wait time (5 min max) beyond that. Very good service and friendly staff.
Dr. Mathieu was great. He listened to my concerns, explained what he was thinking and why, gave me several helpful suggestions, and did it all with a kind manner and a smile. I've rarely been this confident in or comfortable with a doctor before. I'll certainly stay with him.
Very personable, professional, and went above & beyond. I especially want to make note of Dr. Mathieu's office skills, as he took the time to personally make copies of my lab results for me. It was much appreciated. :)

Fantastic Doctor. However, he had a nurse that was very rude and almost made me want to leave the office. I decided to wait to meet Dr.Mathieu. I told him about my concern. He made sure I didn't have to deal with that nurse again and would take care of the incident. Dr. Mathieu is very considerate. He takes his time, answer all your questions and really makes you feel comfortable and at peace. Would highly recommend him!
It's too early to thoroughly comment besides fast service, friendly service, professional doctor, phlebotomist was on point in drawing blood & environment clean.

Doctor Mathieu was very, very thorough and an impressive professional. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and the pros and cons of various tests and procedures. I went to Dr Mathieu for the first time on Tuesday for a physical and I found him and the staff very good. I didn't have to wait hardly at all and every move was explained to me clearly...what they were doing, what it's for, etc. Got the results of my blood tests 2 days later and again, the explanation was very straight and to the point. I'm happy to find such a competent Dr so close to where I live on the UWS and will continue to use Dr Mathieu as my primary care physician.

An exceptionally dedicated doctor who cares for and about his patients, and ACTS QUICKLY (soon after booking my appoinment, I received a call from, not the staff, but Dr. Mathieu himself! asking further questions about my condition. He has both the clinical skills and the compation you need in a doctor. Definitely a doctor to keep!

He was very detailed and concerned about my health and gave me insight to my condition and the severity of it as far as the risks involved. I scheduled a f/u appt with him as I feel very comfortable seeing him as he is very compassionate and caring. The Medical Assistants were warm and welcoming and were patient and knowledgeable in the tests they performed on me, but the front desk staff can be a little more warm and friendly. They were not friendly at all, just went through the motions. The office is 8 blocks away from the C Train but overall, so far so good as far as my visit to the Dr himself.I cant change the front desk--Im happy so far with his care.

I strongly recommend Dr. Mathieu. He is knowledgeable, patient, caring and very thorough; most importantly, a doctor you truly can trust to make decisions/recommendations in your best interests. Dr. Mathieu carefully listened to each of my concerns and made sure all my questions were answered. The office is welcoming, clean, and comfortable. It has appropriate lightning and temperature. The staff is well-mannered and very professional.

I thought he was very warm, articulate, and "present" while talking with me. I never got the impression he was rushing to the next patient, which sometimes happens. I was surprised how relaxed he made me feel, and I am glad he is my new doctor.

Dr. Mathieu listened to my specific health concerns. He spoke as he examined me, telling me what he was doing, eliciting my feedback. He let me know about several possible causes of my ailment, but did not want to offer a final diagnosis with a more elaborate examination--one unable to be performed on my visit. He prescribed an immediate treatment for the most likely and most treatable cause of my ailment. If this treatment does not resolve my ailment, he recommends further examination and treatments.
