Dr. Pinkas Lebovits MD

I have an excellent overall impression. The staff is very competent. courteous and efficient. In less than 30 minutes, ihad a full check-up, two biopsies taken and one more procedure.

Pros: friendly desk person and efficient check-in (had prepared all the forms in advance thanks to ZocDoc); wait time minimal (15 min or less); staff was efficient; many free samples given. Cons: Only saw Dr. Lebovits for literally 2 min tops. The exam, questions, prescriptions, procedures, doling out of samples, were done by D.O. I felt it was very fast and had a hard time digesting information and like I said, the actual doctor only made short appearances twice totaling about 2 minutes. Everyone was pleasant though, just felt like an assembly line and didn't get personal attention from doctor... (see efficient/fast comment above). Bottom line: got what I needed in a fast manner, but felt impersonal though friendly. Hopefully once I get the prescriptions filled, I can investigate more online on what they are. Too fast to remember.

He was very professional and straight to the point. Very little chit chat, but just enough to be friendly. He gave me a good amount of free samples and a coupon for a prescription to make it way cheaper. What else could you ask for?

The receptionist was nice, the nurse was polite, Dr. Lebovits was funny and very direct. Somehow, that combination puts me right at ease. He prescribed me the medication I needed and gave me small samples, which was a HUGE help because I am travelling abroad and they were easily travel-sized. He also didn't try to sell me expensive meds, which I appreciated. I liked how he showed dedication to my condition by wanting to follow up on me in a few weeks.

Very nice doctor, but the office can use some work, very old fashioned waiting room with big heater that makes weird noises, made me feel like I'm waiting for a doctor in 1950's soviet Russia. I really like that he went out of his way to try to get me free samples or a discount on the drugs he prescribed.

Great doctor. Will continue to see him, if neccesary, in the future.

Although the wait was a little long, it was well worth it. Dr. Lebovits was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I've been to several dermatologists in NYC and this is the first time someone answered all my questions and didn't rush me or give me anything my insurance didn't cover. He was really funny and made me feel at ease and his staff were kind as well.

Unlike what we hear about "cosmetic" doctors, he is solid, reasonable, logical, and thorough.

You feel like you are in Europ when you walk in his office! It doean't feel like a doctor's office.

First visit: 20 minute wait, found the doctor rushed and difficult to follow. Very brusque. Follow up: waited nearly 40 minutes and walked out. Won't be back.

Knew what was wrong before I even told him. Gave samples and coupon that made my $325 prescription $30.

Dr Lebovits was great! He was quick in his diagnosis of my skin rash and the medication prescribed is working very well. Dr Lebovits was also very personable and was able to put me at ease quickly. Highly recommended!

I don't think I've ever been as comfortable with a doctor straight off as I was with Dr. Lebovits. I thought he was stellar - warm, charming, funny. He recognized my rash as poison oak in about 3 seconds then we chatted about my line of work for a bit and I was on my way with a prescription.

Dr. Lebovits is great! He is very caring and answered all my questions! Also, he gave me coupons for the creams I need to buy, so I paid $0 copay for the drugs!

The wait was over an hour! The waiting room was full of people- so crowded that there weren't even seats for everyone. Once I got to see the doctor he was rather rushed with me. I would not recommend this facility because of the wait time and level of service, there are so many other dermatologists in Manhattan. But as a doctor he is fine.

Although there was a bit of a wait during the lunch hour, Dr. Lebovits apologized profusely. He was very attentive, personable, and down-right funny. He refused to let me go until all of my questions/concerns were addressed. Also, he gave me a bunch of samples to try first, so that I don't have to waste money on a prescription I don't need. Without a doubt, one of the best dermatologist experiences I've ever had. Thanks Doctor!

doctor saw me on short notice for skin rash, and i am a first time visitor. he spent time talking to me, i felt taken care off, although he seemed to have built an opinion before he heard all facts - i think but i am not a dermatologist. he seems to be knowledgeable, and has excellent patient care manners. i would recommend him as a doctor. we'll see whether the prescription will help.

Needed new dermatologist and found Dr. Lebovits on ZocDoc. Excellent doctor, less than 10 minute wait even with a packed office and extremely thorough service. He is seasoned doctor who kept an open dialogue, asked alot of questions and had all the answers.

I don't really thank Doctors for manner, knowledge and general excellent experience. I just did. Immediately, spoke of my special needs and didn't give the cookie cutter diagnosis and prescriptions that I'd heard with four other doctors. Less was more as far as product and prescription. Very liberal with samples. 24 hours later already marked improvement. Thank you Dr. Lebovits.

He was quick to give an answer, but not talk about history or my thoughts on the issue.

Dr Levobits was great. I hardly waited to see him, he answered all my questions, and gave me the time i needed - i didnt feel rushed at all.

He was patient and tried to answer all questions. He give me some free samples so I will see how it works. Overall, he seems like a good doctor but I can't really say until I try his recommendations and see if they work.

Had to wait about 30 minutes. The appointment itself took about 5 minutes. Considering mildness of patient's case, I think that's enough for a professional. As to effectiveness of the given treatment, time will show.

Dr. Lebovits is the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever met. I was beyond happy with my visit to his office. He shed a completely new light on why I have been suffering with acne since childhood and figured out the cause of my condition that all of my previous dermatologists have overlooked. On top of being so well educated and helpful he has a great bedside manner and was VERY nice and funny.

Dr. Lebovits was wonderful. He really is an "old school" doctor when it comes to his patient care and bedisde manner. I went in to get some cortisone injections for a break out since my dermatologist was out of town. He was wonderful and treated me like one of his long term patients. I may even consider switching over to him because he was so great.

The wait time was rough but well worth it, I love Dr Lebovits.

The doctor was very nice and clear. And they fit me in right away-- the next day-- while the wait for an appointment was three to four weeks in other dermatologists offices. The waiting room was crowded, but that's normal for any dermatologist these days. I also appreciated that the doctor gave me samples and a coupon to cover the cost of the prescriptions just in case my insurance didn't cover it. He took the time to explain to me twice exactly what I needed to do. I am going to go back as a regular patient.

Dr.Pinkas was very knowledgeable with a quick diagnosis along with helpful suggestions and extremely great bedside manner that helped me feel relaxed and comfortable!

The staff is unprofessional. They said (twice: the first time when I came in and the second time, when I was asked to pay a deductible) that the wait time is "just 10 minutes", but it took 1.5 hours to see the doctor just to get a prescription (the visit itself took less than 1 minute)

Great Doctor.I was having acne problem for almost 2 years-went to few places before ,no result.Finally a friend recomended to see Dr.Lebovits.I did,and oh thanks -my skin become clear in a week.Would recomend this Doctor!!!
