Patient Reviews for Dr. Purnima Sau - MD
The front desk is terrible ..poor communication ..lack of patient care
Dr. Sau is thorough, diligent and quite professional. His staff spends adequate time processing first time patients and along with the ZocDoc appointments process, is quite convenient. Dr. Sau is well recommended for her professionalism and high standards.
Dr.Sau spent less than 10 minutes talking to me about my skin problems. She seemed irritated by my questions, was reluctant to talk about alternatives to harsh medications, and rushed me out of the office. I went for a follow-up a few weeks later because the medications she gave me were irritating my skin. She seemed even more irritated and disgusted that I came back and had questions. She cut me off before I could get any answers and rushed me out again. I would never recommend her. She just quickly writes prescriptions and moves on to the next patient.
Dr. Sau is a great doctor, she's both patient, very knowledgeable about the field of dermatology.
Dr. Sau gave me her full attention and made an effort to communicate, significant given that I am profoundly deaf. Given this was my initial visit, she tried to make sure that she could answer my concerns and give me some immediate solutions. I am happy with her staff and will return in a few weeks.
Was the first time, don“t have a real opinion yet.
The staff here are very nice and helpful, and my appointment was right on time. Unfortunately Dr. Sau treated me with very little respect and no patience. She dismissed my concerns and rushed out of the room in a huff even though I was very polite. I am sticking with this office because I already paid the high copay, I really like the staff, and the office is in a convenient location. Also, the actual time I will spend with Dr. Sau will be minimal, thank goodness. Maybe I encountered her on an off day, but be warned..
I was pleased with the Doctor as well as her staff personel. I was late 6 minutes for my initial visit and I received a welcome as if I were 15 minutes early as they had requested
The doctor was cold and didn't listen to my symptoms/questions. She seemed dismissive of my concerns. She also cut into my face against my wishes. The other staff member was good, but I would not recommend Dr. Sau based on my experience.
I had a pleasant visit. Dr. Sau is very polite and the staff is friendly.
It was my first time ever visiting a dermatologist and maybe I was expecting more. I was expecting the Dr. to examine my skin more closely, but she was pretty in and out. There was nothing really wrong with the visit, it was just very basic.
She is good.
Dr. Sau does not have a type-A personality. However, she is genuine and polite. The visit was efficient and the staff was as helpful as they needed to be. I'll be seeing her in the future.
She was efficient and recommended a form of treatment that I preferred. I have a follow up in two weeks.
Wasn't very comprehensive in my yearly skin check. Didn't look at my scalp or feet as past dermatologists have.
Went for a consultation for sebhorrheic dermatitis in May. Dr. Sau didn't really look at my scalp and basically told me to keep using my drugstore shampoo. Waste of time and co-pay.
This doctor was great. She was prompt, friendly, and helpful.
I waited in the lobby for while. The staff just ignored my presence. When I finally was shown to a room and was talking with one of the nurses, the front desk attendant burst into the room, WITHOUT knocking, or apologizing. She was looking for something int he cabinets, and interrupted my conversation, not once looking at me. The she proceeded to leave, slamming the door. The entire appointment I felt rushed. I had to pretty much stop the doctor from leaving the room, because I still had questions, which she didn't seem to think were that important. I think I saw the doctor for a total of 3 minutes. I had to ask her to explain to me what the "scientific" names were, otherwise she was content with giving me her bored and unconcerned responses. I WILL NEVER AGAIN GO BACK! OH also, my appointment was for a Saturday and I got a call on Thursday saying that they needed to reschedule and could only accommodate me on a Friday or 2 weeks from now. Really?
A wonderful experience all around. Whole staff was very professional even though I was the last patient of the day.
None at this time.
Very helpful and direct. I would see Dr. Sau again.
