Rachel was great, the wait time was a bit long.
Overall the appointment was a very average visit. Easy & quick check in process, which was nice. Although I felt a little rushed when meeting with the doctor. I wouldn't say I had a bad appointment but I will not be raving to my friends.
Rachel was super nice and friendly, efficient but still careful and gentle. Happy to have found her!
The checking in process was efficient and the wait under 30.minutes. I was able to go on my lunch hour without being late back to work. Dr. Villanueva was very professional and addressed all my concerns. I would highly recommend her.
I was there to discuss getting a copper IUD, since I no longer want to be on hormonal birth control. She asked if I had ever had children, and when I said no, she immediately said that this wasn't the birth control she'd recommend for me. She kept recommending other hormonal birth control, obviously not having paid attention to me saying that I wanted to be off hormonal birth control. That said, her overall manner was friendly enough, and she said that ultimately it was my decision, but she was giving me advice on what had worked well/best for her other patients. So I believe she has good intentions, but I didn't really feel like she was listening to my main concerns, nor asking the right questions (ie what about hormonal birth control bothers you?)
Dr. Villanueva was very smart and knowledgeable but her bedside manner was lacking. She seemed to think I was stupid when I asked questions and she sort of raised her voice at me. Overall the experience was fine and I will probably go back to her, but only because it's such a pain to find a new doctor.
I think she was great! I've been looking for a good gyn for a long time and I think I found her! Her office staff was kind and efficient. The medical assistants were personable. And the doctor was sweet, funny, honest, and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay her and I'll be referring anyone who needs a gyn.
courteous, pleasant, took time to provide info to me and answered all my Qs. Had same experience last year.
I thought she was really friendly, reassuring, and efficient. I was worried because earlier reviews mentioned that she was cold/rushed/brusque. I didn't find her to be so at all. She gets to the point, and she is super nice, both of which I appreciate.
I finally found my OBGYN after changing 3 different doctors for the past 6 months.
Unsympathetic, cold, condescending. Rolled her eyes at questions I asked. Just terrible experience all around.
I have been going to Dr. Villanueva for nearly 6 years. It took me awhile to warm up to her, but now I find her bedside manner (and staff) to be quite warm and friendly. I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes and sometimes I have been seen ahead of my appointment time. However, like others, the only negative experience I've had with this office is that the receptionists tend to put people on hold for far too long. Thankfully, ZocDoc allows me to make appointments without having to deal with that anymore. I just hope it is easier to contact the office when I have dire questions/concerns.
I thought she was great at first. She told me to call her in a week for my results. I called her several times! Each time I called, a nurse would promise me that Dr. Villanueva would call me back but I never received a call back. Finally, after weeks I was able to speak with another physician who said that my results were abnormal! If my results were abnormal why wouldn't Dr. Villanueva call me as soon as possible to get the issue resolved? I find the totally irresponsible and will never come back to this office.
She's not very nice, which is unacceptable given how exposed a woman is at the OBGYN. She was cold and impatient and did not make me feel comfortable asking questions.
I am pregnant with my first child and was looking for a warm friendly environment that I felt comfortable going to throughout my pregancy and this was not it. The staff were sweet but Dr. Villanueva was a little to cold and clinical. I didn't feel very comfortable asking questions. Also, if I needed to call for follow-up about ANYTHING, it took a really long time to get back to me, even for important things like prescriptions. I had to make a lot of follow-up calls before I got the answers I was looking for.
Very personable. Thorough. Definitely going back!
Dr. Villanueva made me feel very comfortable. She is super nice and I will definitely come back!
Quick, Concise and easy. She is gentle and thorough when answering questions
Knowledgeable, quick and friendly.
This was the first time I've had an annual pap smear in 4 years because I dreaded sitting in a doctor's waiting room for a long time. In fact, I stopped going to my last ob-gyn because I was sick and tired of waiting for 1 hour after my scheduled time. But, that was not the case with Dr. Villanueva and her office staff. In fact, the whole thing was so pleasant that I look forward to my next annual checkup!
She is very friendly, efficient, and supportive.
Wonderful doctor, friendly and makes you feel at ease right away!
Staff was fiendly; iPad registration technology was great! Doctor came in to see me within 10mns.
Very friendly and makes you feel extremely comfortable.
Dr Villanueva was rude, inattentive and seemed too rushed to care. Her bedside manner is not up to par and she seemed too busy or preoccupied with the fact that she was running late for the next appointment. I do not recommend her to first time moms, she seemed annoyed when asked questions and wanted to brush off all of them away. She was rude, nasty and almost inpatient of the fact that I was a working mother and had to work around my work schedule. I felt berated and reprimanded by her at every visit. I switched doctors after without a proper conversation to my husband and I she "fired" me at 28 weeks and we found out by her disgruntle office assistant. She had a massive attitude on every visit leaving me very stressed out.
Everyone was very friendly, I was seen right away and all my questions were answered.
I have a timed appointment but waited about an hour+ before going into the room. Even after that i waited for about 10+ mins to see the Doc. I'm guessing the Doc was REALLY busy. This was the fastest check up I have had. (not sure if i like that). I have mixed feelings.
Dr. Villanueva was great! As a 1st timer, She made me feel very comfortable erasing any awkwardness that's sometimes experienced when visiting an MD for the 1st time (especially a GYN). Would def recommend Villanueva to fam/fiends.
She was nice, but my appointment felt very rushed.
Dr. Villanueva was very accommodating and friendly. The office staff was helpful and everyone worked to make me feel at ease. It was nice to feel like I was having a very personal experience in such a big city!
I saw Dr. Villanueva for my annual exam and thought she was great. She was professional, friendly and thorough. I will definitely go back to her. The office staff was nice as well.
Made me feel comfortable for the most part but would not recommend her to any of my friends. The office and staff didn't feel professional.
There was a little bit of a wait in the waiting room...I think the appointment was shorter than the wait time. But ultimately Dr. Villanueva was very friendly and sweet, and did a nice job of maintaining friendly small talk, which did some nice distracting from the awkwardness of the examination. :-)
Will definitely go back to her again.
Dr. Villanueva is very friendly, sweet and informative. She listened carefully to me and was very helpful to any questions I had. She is very fast, yet thorough and I am so glad I found an OBGYN that I feel completely comfortable with and that I feel I can trust. Her staff was also very nice, especially considering how busy it seemed they were.
It seemed like the doctor was in a rush while she was in the room with me. Looked at her watch. I waited for her for 45 minutes. She was practically yelling while she was talking to me. Please tone it down! I was not interested in having everyone in the building hear our conversation.
I was very nervous to use a new doctor, but I felt right at home when I walked into the office. It's not a traditional dr. office, the receptionists are very friendly, and the space is big, clean and open with comfy couches. I waited for 45 minutes after my apt. time to be seen, and there were only 2 or 3 other patients waiting which was odd. Dr. Villanueva was very friendly and seemed understanding when answering questions about my medical history. She did seem somewhat rushed but maybe that's normal with seeing a busy doctor. Overall the experience, other then the long wait time, was pleasant for this type of visit.
Yes, I would recommend this doctor. She is very courteous and professional. The waiting time is okay.
I liked the doctor very much. She was to the point, addressed all the concerns thoroughly and very professional. I would return again.
I was not so comfortable with her as patient, because she was rushing and not listener. I never want to go back.
Read negative reviews on Dr Villanueva but I was very happy with her
Dr. Villanueva and her staff were so nice and helpful. I felt so comfortable!
She was not helpful at all...very rude and did not listen to what I was asking
On the whole, it was a good visit. She answered my questions and explained everything to me clearly. The wait was a bit longer than I would have liked, but the exam itself took almost no time at all. I wish she would have taken a bit more time easing into the exam, but it was still a good experience.
She may be a knowledgeable doctor, but that does not make a good doctor. Maybe it was an off day for her, but her beside manner was horrible. The vibe I got was that she had somewhere else to be or that I was wasting her time. Rather than being instructive and helpful I felt rushed and the environment was just tense.
I thought she was very personable. She answered all of my questions
Dr. Villanueva is an incredibly smart and supportive, Ob Gyn. I would trust anyone else with the delivery of my children or my reproductive health needs.
