Richard Castiello, MD

Dr. Castiello was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He graduated from the Landon School, Williams College, and Cornell University Medical College. After finishing his internship at Boston City Hospital and a residency in dermatology at the University of Michigan, he became the first full time dermatologist at the Georgetown University Medical College, where he remains a clinical associate professor of medicine, a rank he also holds at George Washington University. He is also a senior civilian consultant to the Department of Dermatology of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is now in full time private practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Dr. Castiello is a past president of the Washington D.C. Dermatological Society, the Washington Medical Surgical Society, and the Galens Hippocrates Society. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as the American Medical Association. He is regularly mentioned by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area's top doctors. Dr. Castiello is married and is the father of four children.
