Patient Reviews for Dr. Richard Merkler - MD, FAAP
although the doctor was a nice person, his office was gross! with an overflowing trash can and stains on the rug. He was happy to spend a lot of time with us, but did not share any expertise on the topic of child development at all. If you are looking for a case manager to obtain services - he would be fine, but not a pediatrician that specializes in child development.
Doctor Merkler seemed very knowledgeable and devoted a lot of time to my son.
My four-year-old loves Dr. Merkler's gentle bedside manner. He's also really good at reassuring her and making vaccinations as painless and quick as possible. And he takes time to talk to us as parents as well—we couldn't ask for a better, more competent pediatrician.
Very nice guy, soft spoken, loves kids, you can easily get appointment (huge plus!) would come back again. However waiting room area needs UPDATES (very old, looks uninviting, messy). When I came over - I said to myself that would not probably come back, but after I met the doctor I wanted to come back. His office was spacious with sofa and toys, so we could chat when my daughter was playing. Receptionist come over straight away took my information.
Great doctor. Love his style, and he actually "likes" kids.
i like him and will take my kids back. he takes it all in and is thorough.
Very nice doctor
Very professional and efficient and friendly.
Dr. Merkler is just wonderful. He is very kind and gentle and always makes me feel comfortable. I am very happy he is our doctor. Plus, my son loves all the toys which enables me to have a conversation after the visit.
Dr. Merkler is very kind, gentle and extremely professional. We are so happy to have been able to meet with him.
Truly recommended. Very good Doctor.
Dr.Merkler isn't as detailed oriented as i would like, however he is a very good doctor. I plan to continue my future appointments with Dr. Merkler
Dr. Merkler is the best pediatrician we know. He always takes time to talk to us and our daughter. He has the gentlest beside manner and develops a good rapport with his little patients.
Worth the waiting room time! I have three children, all of whom see Dr. Merkler. He is gentle, remembers their names, does not rush, speaks to us appropriately, and returns his own calls. He is truly a class act and a spectacular doctor all around. We live in Brooklyn and take the time to go to the UWS to see Dr. Merkler -- I'd follow him anywhere and I HIGHLY recommend him.
Great doctor.
Satisfied.
Dr. Was excellent but staff was a bit in your face and actually detracted from the discussion with the Dr.
A wonderful experience in every way! (and we even had shots!)
