Professional Statement

Richard L. Sturm, MD, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in 1975 and his Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Emory University in 1980. He interned in pediatrics at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami from 1980-1981, followed by a residency in dermatology at Emory University from 1981-1984, including chief residency in 1984. Currently he holds the position of Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Emory University, and specializes in teaching dermatologic surgery. He has served as Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Atlanta Dermatological Association, President of the Georgia Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, as well as President of the Georgia Society of Dermatologists. Dr. Sturm lectures nationally and internationally on multiple aspects of dermatology, cancer treatment, and dermatologic and cosmetic surgery. …
