Dr. Ronald Ward graduated from Loyola University of Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1968. He attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine and obtained his MD degree in 1972. Dr. Ward started his post-graduate surgical training at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. His second post-graduate year of training was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Ward completed his Ear, Nose, and Throat Residency in 1982 at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California.
He was on staff at the San Francisco Kaiser Permanente Medical Center for 25 years following completion of his residency. He served as Assistant Chief-of-Service and Chief-of-Service. Dr. Ward established his private practice in San Francisco in 2007, now in Larkspur and Pinole, California.
