Ryan B. Turner, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist in New York City who practices general dermatology and has advanced training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, laser surgery, and light therapies. I've been to an array of dermatologists over the years, and Dr. Turner is different! Much more of a positive experience! I have "stuff" that needs to be cut off, and I feel nothing during or after! He has great technique! The place is very clean so you feel comfortable. His assistant is also very skillful and professional, everything about the exam has to do with care and respect for the patient. Even though they are speedy and efficient, you have the time to ask questions. You are not expected to undress in front of the Dr. like some dermatologists-- yes this happens, and it's degrading. Dr. Turner's office provides you with a beautiful silky robe and you have time to collect your thoughts so that you make sure you ask the Dr. what you wanted.

I am an extremely picky person with whom I trust with my skin and I have 100% faith in Dr. Turner. His bedside manner is amazing and made me feel so comfortable. The whole office and staff are exceptional people. The fact that the Dr works alongside a staff of amazing estheticians made it so convenient for me to get an immediate facial based on Dr. Turners advice. The best part was that no products were forced, just lightly suggested. I am going back next week for a facial!

This was the most ideal visit ever! The office was beautiful and the nurse that took me in was hilarious! She definitely is a people person! And when Dr. Turner came in, he was super friendly and so easy to talk to! Defintely made me feel comfortable! I couldn't imagine ever going to a differnet dermotologist!

Ryan was extremely warm and friendly. He understands how to make a patient feel comfortable, while undergoing a potentially nerve racking process. Ryan also provided insightful tips about skincare, as opposed to someone else who ( in my experience ) would rush me out of the door for Botox patient$. Highly recommended!

This was my first visit. After reading amazing reviews on ZocDoc I decided to try Dr. Turner. I have been suffering form an acne flare up for 3 months and realized that it was time to see a professional. The office is warm. Unlike many other derm offices, there were not 100 people crammed into a small waiting room with old copies of SHAPE... The receptionist was a sweet woman. Extremely nice. Filled out paperwork and poof, before I knew it a nurse came and got me!!! The whole office smells of vanilla, again very different from most Derm offices that have a sterile/ rubber glove smell. The nurse took my history. She was warm, caring and asked a ton of questions about my acne. She was incredibly reassuring. She let me know Dr. Turner was on his way. My thought... Here we go.. I will sit here for two hours now. Well that was not the case. Dr. Turner was in the room in 3 minutes.. APOLOGIZING FOR THE WAIT!!! What wait??????? He is jubilant, happy, warm.. he is the antithesis of the sterile churn-em-out dermatologist. He reassured me... Dr. Turner is the perfect mix of doctor and human being!!!! You are a person in his office...he talks to you and explains things.... Believe it or not I cant wait for my next appointment. Once this accute issue is clear I am sure I will keep seeing him just to maintain beautiful skin. I would highley recommend Dr. Turner to anyone sick of the run around with other Derms...
