He’s very good and cares for his patients.
Dr. Gupta and his staff were very professional and I would highly recommend them.
satisfactory Dr Gupta was clear and concise in his explanations of my condition and his diagnosis was quite clear to me. waiting time was 40 minutes, i understand it was my first visit.
The visit went well, but the wait was too long. The long wait caused me to be late for other appointments that I had that day.
I had a very short wait considering how busy the office was. Dr Gupta was great, explained everything and answered ally questions.
It was two hours before I saw the doctor, who I saw for five minutes. If they're that backed up, just call me and reschedule before the appointment--don't destroy my entire day!! People in the waiting room indicated this is par for the course for him. I was also, unsurprisingly, rushed through my appointment. Dr. Gupta was a disappointment after the long wait (but I suppose at that point Galen would be, too). He spoke VERY quickly, couldn't figure out the problem, wouldn't write down instructions when I asked him to, and told me to just take Aleve. I've had problems with that joint for five years and that was my answer? Won't ever go back.
His treament, efficiency, and manner amaze me.
He's great. Staff is nice and really thoughtful. Wait was over an hour which just shouldn't be the case and which can't help but bring down the overall experience a little.
Thoroughly looked at the injury and detailed explanation. I left feeling pretty happy with and see how the healing progresses.
He did well by me.
Dr. Gupta was great - he was personable and explained everything to me clearly. He answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. HOWEVER, the wait was really, really long. My appointment was at 9:15, I spent 10 minutes filling out paperwork, and when I gave it back I was told they were 20-30 minutes behind. About 30 minutes later, I was taken into the exam room, but I waited there another 20 minutes before the doctor saw me. I would go back because I liked Dr. Gupta, but they really need to work on the scheduling.
Very thorough and helpful!
I came in early and my appointment was 1PM but he took me in at 12:30PM, I was out by 12:45PM. (Male) Receptionist is also very pleasant and effecient!
This is the second time I've waited over an hour for an appointment. I believe this is a trend that should be addressed. They seem to be overbooking the office and the patients end up waiting because of this.
I waited 1,5h and then saw the doctor for 3 minutes and then he recommended me to see someone else. Not the best experience. He is a very nice doctor though.
Great doctor but the wait time was a little out of hand. Then again, I'd rather have a long wait and a high-quality doctor than a short wait for a poor doctor.
Dr. Gupta was very personable and knowledgable, but the wait time in the office was unbearable. They must quadrouple book each appointment slot. I waited for an hour and a half before being seen.
Nice doctor - very clinical
I liked Dr. Gupta alot. He explained things very clearly, answered all my questions patiently and was easy to talk to. Also his staff seemed very competent as well.
He was fine - not great, not terrible.
He's very nice, professional and efficient!
Friendly staff members (front desk helped me with filling up the right documents, fast service (XRay) - took me in right away. Waited less than 5 minutes for MD Gupta, very pleasant and explained everything clearly. Will definitely recommend!
Dr. Gupta was pleasant, patient and very informative with all my questions and concerns. I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment after filling out the initial paperwork.
He was very straight to the point but gave precis details.
I was told I didn't have ortho problem, but Dr. Gupta answered all my questions.
He was friendly and really helpful. Dr. Gupta answered all my questions. He also did an x-ray to ensure his original diagnosis was correct.
My only complaint was the wait time - about 50 minutes. Otherwise, very impressed!
Good helped me a 100%
Overall I was satisfied with this visit. He was very professional and explained everything so I would understand. Would recommend this MD.
My visit with Dr. Gupta had some problems. When I initially came to the office, the receptionist mentioned something about not having my appointment on file even though it was made through ZocDoc. Then I waited for over 2 hours before being seen by the doctor. On the other hand, the appointment went very smoothly when I was seen. Him and his staff were all very pleasant, helpful and apologetic about the wait time, which they noted was unusual.
Through, took time to explain conclusions.
Have seen two other Drs. concerning some nerve damage, both of whom wanted to operate. Gupta's conservative recommendations have proved more than adequate treatment.
Dr gupta was amazing. Very help full also very sweet not rude He explain every thing to me I need to know and I would highly recommend .
He did well treat and guided.
I've been going to Dr. Gupta on and off for a couple of years - must say he is one of the smartest, most professional and thorough doctors I've ever been to - also, a very nice guy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
Overall a good experience. The big negative-- arriving to fill out 6 pages of forms (they should be available online or on ZocDoc in advance) and then waiting for 45 minutes in a reception area and then examination room while the Doctor was outside in the hallway chewing the fat with some colleagues, dictating some patient work, and moving back and forth. Treating patient time as valuable would make my recommendation 5 stars. Otherwise, decent manner-- a little bit informal. Not as gentle as I might have imagined.
He was incredibly informing. He gave me an understanding of my situation, and was thoroughly knowledgable about what was wrong, how it was wrong, and how to correct it. Although the wait time was long, his service was worth the wait.
Very thorough. Diagnosis not yet complete, but was very patient in explaining what he was looking for, etc.
Great guy. Definitely knows his stuff and was able to refer me to a good physical therapy place. Bring something to do while you wait. You might be there for a while...
The doctor is good and thorough however there is a very long wait time to see the doctor. I am not sure if that was a busy day or appointments are organized well. Apart from the wait time, I would recommend this doctor.
He was great--the wait was just so terrible. Hurricane appointment cancelations. Yikes!
Great doctor but the office staff are very disorganized. I had to wait almost 1.5 hrs to see the Dr., who when I did see was excellent
I've been a patient of Dr. Gupta for over two years. He is very patient and professional. His appointments were backed up due to emergencies and appointments made through Zoc Doc, but he still took time to see me as well as everyone who was waiting.
Fantastic! Worth the wait - very thorough and took time to explain everything.
Once I actually got into the office, my experience with Dr. Gupta was great. He was patient, considerate, and explained everything very thoroughly. It was the wait time that was really problematic and would have me reconsider coming back--I had to wait about an hour from the time I got there.
Dr. Gupta was very clear about what I could and could not do, given my hand injury. He also let me know what to expect, what changes would indicate trouble, and how to handle it. Exactly what I needed to know.
Dr Gupta exuded confidence, knowledge and trust. I immediately felt I had gone to an expert and he was thorough and thoughtful too.
Dr. Gupta was very pleasant and explained my condition to me so that I understood why my wrist hurt.
very unhelpful and standoffish
Dr. Gupta was a kind and helpful doctor. He helped me get back to doing the things i love.
Absolutely phenominal! My second Orthopedic doctor and will be my last! Left the office smiling knowing My arm is in safe Hands. Very thorough and detailed with his diagnosis. No guess work. Very very patient with his patients.
So far so good. I thought he just specialized in Hands and Upper extremeties, however he does practice general orthopedics which is great! Got a bunch of x-rays done and was out of the office in less than 90 mins.
Dr. Gupta remains both caring and clearly knowledgeable. While some doctors give only cursory exams before guessing at the problem, Dr. Gupta gave a whole battery of simple physical tests, repeated some of them when the answers didn't make everything immediately clear, and explained every step of the way what he was testing and what the results were telling him. I feel greatly reassured as a result -- both about my condition being not too bad, and about how successful we'll be in treating it.
Dr Gupta was outstanding in every way. He was through in his exam, extremely detailed in his evaluation and explanation of my son's issue, and was very open to further contact if needed. Additionally, his staff was swift, friendly and efficient. Extremely highly recommended!
I like visiting Dr Gupta, he's pleasant, not too much wait time and he's very professional
Dr. Gupta is a knowledgeable professional. However the wait was way too long (2 hrs). They should do a better job making sure appointments run on time.
Dr Gupta was a great doctor. He explains everything that you need to know. He is such an accommodating doctor. I would highly recommend him to other patients.
very profecional
Hand injuries are something that should be treated by the best, and Dr. Gupta is exactly that. He and his entire staff are wonderful! Theyre caring, knowledgeable and true professionals that I trust implicitly and recommend strongly.
Dr. Gupta is truly a professional. His breadth of knowledge is unparalleled and his bed side manner is superb. He took time to explain things in detail to me and made sure that all my concerns were taken care of before I left. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Gupta was competent and professional. I cannot say the same for the office staff who were dismissive. I was on time for my appointment but had to wait more than an hour to see the doc, then again for 20 mins after my xray.
Dr. Gupta provided a thorough and efficient examination. He clearly knows his stuff with hand anatomy, and his manner was great; I've already recommended him. It's too soon to say whether the treatment he recommended will result in long-term resolution of my problem, though hopefully I'll be able to report back later.
Very smart, attentive, friendly, and helpful. Liked him a lot.
He's been my doctor since 2008.. he always listens and explains everything.. very caring..I highly recommend him!
There had been an emergency in the office in the morning which caused appointments to be backed up (nice of staff to give explanation), so that was a bit disappointing. My meeting with Dr. Gupta himself MORE than made up for that disappointment. He's articulate, direct, thorough and I would recommend him HIGHLY to others.
friendly, attentive, understood the issue. forwarded me onto a specialist when exceeded his comfort level for speciality. highly recommended
Dr. Gupta answered my questions and gave me helpful advice for a swift recovery.
He was kind, interested and professional.
When I finally saw him, Dr. Gupta was kind, knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I will return to his office, but will try to be one of the first appointments of the day rather than one of the last.
Dr. Gupta is knowledgeable and kind. However, his Queens waiting room (shared with a physical therapist practice) is packed with people. The TV is tuned to moronic daytime game shows, and the volume is up full blast. The office staff is inefficient, and their work area is cramped and disorganized. It took a long time to see Dr. Gupta, and the loud, stressful waiting room made me want to leave.
Dr. Gupta was very professional and at the same time warm and very plesant. All the staff were also very kind and warm. It was a pleasure and excellent experience, I would recommend Dr.Gupta as they say in a New York minute.
The doctor was patient and spent enough time with me to understand the problem. However, when my MRI results were back, he would not go over them on the phone and I was required to go back only to know that nothing was wrong. Good diagnosis and treatment though.
Overall the doctor appointment was fine, but getting to see the doctor was the most difficult thing. Prior to arriving for my apt, I called in to make sure things were running on time. The receptionist said they were, but after arriving at the office the receptionist realized he made a mistake and told me there was an hour wait! Dr. Gupta is knowledgeable, but I did feel rushed because he was falling behind his schedule. He cut me off when I asked questions and was ready to move on to the next patient before I could ask him all my questions. I was also not happy when other patients were accidentally taken before me even when I was waiting in the doctor's office. It feels like he is quiet busy based on other reviews. If you are looking for somebody who can take you in and out, he is not the one.
He seemed incredibly intelligent and was over-all very friendly, I did find that I felt a little rushed to speak but he did answer all of my questions. I would say however that he was the most professional doctor I have been to yet in Manhattan. It is also hard to find his receptionists desk without having been there before- I was waiting for a half hour in the main waiting room while no one was at the front desks at that time in the morning, and then when someone did come to the front desk, I found that Dr. Gutpa's desk was down a hall and down another hall with no visual directions of any kind. Make sure to ask someone where to go!
1hour wait and no apologies. rushing through the visit: for instance not let me finish describe my symptoms. no explanation of meaning of tests that he was performing on me: I just had to deduct that everything was ok. no explanation while reading x-rays. visit time no more than 10-15 minutes.
Seems to be an intelligent, time efficient diagnostic physician.
He was very helpful in explaining what was going on with my wrist problems and how an injury to one area would affect other areas. I think the wait time was a little long, but it seemed like that was out of the ordinary for them. They were otherwise very efficient, so I think it was just an off day.
