After receiving his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Weissman trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. During his training, he spent an additional year in Therapeutic Endoscopy gaining expertise in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), esophageal stent placement and small bowel enteroscopy.
Dr. Weissman was then appointed Chief of Endoscopy at New York Methodist Hospital and started an active private practice. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He maintains a special interest in colorectal and liver disorders.
As we move into the 21st century, new treatments and advanced technologies in the field of gastroenterology have paved the way in helping diagnose and cure illnesses that were once thought to be unamenable to therapy.

Could have been a better experience. Insurance and billing issues were my biggest problem.
Dr. Weissman possesses all traits of an excellent a provider--knowledge, professionalism, thoroughness; He is an active listener who gives thorough explanation and happens to have a pleasant bedside manner.
Dr. Weissman is very knowledgeable, I like his conservativeness and careness to his patient (he asked me to let him know how things are going after taking the medication). I would very much continue seeing Dr. Weissman.
