Dr. Samia Idris OD

Professional Statement

Dr. Samia Idris is an Optometrist who is proud to serve Alpharetta and Greater Atlanta. She treats patients of all ages who are dealing with eyesight problems, diseases, and eye pain.

As a builder of long-term relationships, Dr. Idris prides herself in being friendly and accommodating, and making her patients feel completely at ease. She loves being able to work directly with patients, and she truly enjoys seeing her patients’ lives transformed through better vision.

Dr. Idris is a member of a number of professional associations, including the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, and she is fluent in Amharic. She originally chose medicine because she enjoyed working with the equipment in her Mechanical Engineering major, but found herself gravitating toward interactive, face-to-face work with other people.

Dr. Idris lives in John’s Creek where she practices medicine in her local community, and spends time with her husband and three children. As a true outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Idris loves going scuba diving, hiking, traveling, and taking photographs. She began her career in medicine at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She sees patients for everything from allergies and infections to glaucoma and cataracts.
