Dr. Kamat is a longtime native to Bucks County for over 30 years, moving here with his family while in first grade. He graduated at the top of his class at Pennsbury to go on to Pennsylvania State University where he completed a B.S. in Premedicine, serving as the President of Premedical Honor Society as well. He also received his M.S. in Physiology at Penn State. He taught Anatomy and Physiology at the collegiate level at Penn State University, Widener University, Community College of Philadelphia, and even more locally at Bucks County Community College. Dr. Kamat then attended medical school in Kansas City, Missouri at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He then came back home to Philadelphia to complete his internship and ophthalmology residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Kamat worked at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia for nearly seven years, gaining invaluable experience in complicated cataract, oculoplastic trauma, and anterior segment surgery. He served as one of the ophthalmologists for Moss Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Kamat has spoken on different subjects on the local and national level. He has chaired and co-chaired a number of national meetings for the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology.

I have been seeing Dr. Kamat for dry eye. He does a great job explaining what was happening with my eyes. He uses scientific/clinical terms but in a way that anyone can understand. He's great at explaining what options are available and doesn't pressure you to make decisions. Staff does a great job as well. Highly recommend going to this practice.

Waited for an hour and only got one update after I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be. "You should be next" was the reply...I was the only one in the waiting room, so that didn't help me much. I left after an hour of waiting. I won't be back.

Good personality and demeanor from the Doctor and the staff. Overall good experience and trustworthiness in the doctor's recommendations. Although, the appointment was at 2:00 pm as confirmed on the phone three times but was switched to 2:30 without prior notice.

I was totally pleased with the appointment, examination and the choice of new glasses that I ordered. Dr. Kamat is a true professional and treated me thoroughly for all my problems.
