I wish every doctor's visit could be like this. I always try to be on time, but underestimated the trip from work and showed up 20 min late. No worries. As soon as I was done with my paperwork, Dr. Amar saw me. Courteous, efficient, warm and friendly. Urged me to try a few more affordable options before I buy $300 custom insoles. I felt that she had my best interests at heart for sure.

This was the best doctor's visit ever. She is so nice, friendly and so helpful. She's very thorough and clearly cares about the patients. I am so glad i went to see her and i just wish she was more than a podiatrist because she's the perfect doctor. There is no doubt i am going back to her in the future.

She is an absolute delight. I appreciated her openness and kindness. She was able to tell me exactly what was causing my ankle pain and gave me concrete things I could do to help it to heal.

I have consulted with other podiatrists in NYC but Dr. Amar ranks at the top of my list. She is very charismatic, friendly, open and positive. The last doctor I saw opened with "Oh! I am so sorry you have these feet!" Dr. Amar immediately said "You don't have bad feet." She was not at all aggressive about treatment and expressed real interest in my issues.

Dr Amar was very friendly. She apologized serveral times for the wait, although, I had only waited the legthen of the time it took me to complete the paper work (5 minutes max). She provided me with choices and seem very concern about my issue.

Dr. Amar is so wonderful. She remembered me from almost 2 years ago when I brought my son to her. She even remembered his name and asked about him. I asked her receptionist if she was always like that and she said yes and that she enjoyed working for her. It's such a rare thing to meet with a doctor like this. I won't go to anyone else for my feet :)

There's a reason Dr. Amar came up at the top of my ZocDoc search results - she's great! The wait time wasn't ideal, but it wasn't terrible. Also, it was my first visit so I don't know if it usually runs that long but because I liked her so much I'm going to say it's highly unusual to wait very long. She was attentive, informative and helpful. My "foot problems" weren't something of high concern but Dr. Amar treated it with the utmost attention and took the time to explain what was wrong and how to alleviate the situation. She is also wonderful at making a patient feel at ease and not self-conscious about their feet or the lint that sticks to them when they take off their socks (speaking from experience). I'm already asking people if they have problems with their feet just so I can recommend her!

Dr. Amar was very personable, listened to me and gave me feedback and appropriate medication. If anything she was too positive. When I told her of another serious medical problem, not connected to my foot problem, she assured me I will be OK, which is not all together certain.

Dr. Amar is a great doctor, which is really hard to find nowadays. She treats you like a human being and not like a check, which is what most doctors do nowadays. Very sweet, patient, and kind. Also very laid back, would HIGHLY recommend!

I took my 2 year old, I was very happy with Dr. Shazia. She was punctual and very good with kids. My 2 yr. old didnt want to stay in the exam room, so Dr. Shazia examined my daughter in a room that my daughter picked herself and was more comfortable in.

I took my soccer-playing son to see Dr. Amar at her new location right across from Prospect Park. Dr. Amar made my son feel at ease, figured out the problem and gave us the solution, all with a smile. She is a great doctor with a wonderful bedside manner. She is highly recommended.

I went to Dr. Amar today for my post op appointment. I got two hammertoes removed on my left foot. Dr. A did her thing and she rocks. She answered all questions and has a lot of patience. Dr. A is so sweeeeeeeeeeet!

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Amar to anyone in need of a podiatrist. She is highly professional, takes the time to fully explain the condition and how to treat it, but also has a very friendly manner that makes the experience a pleasant one. She also does not immediately jump to "worst case" scenarios. There is an X-ray machine in the office, too, so no need to go outside if you will need these. Great doctor!

I arrived a bit late for the appointment and my doctor was at the Hospital next door... no biggie. By the time I finished filling out the 3 pages of paperwork, she was back and ready to see me. She's very straightforward and honest. Put me at ease regarding my options for the bunion and possible broken toe. She administered the x-rays onsite and had immediate images that she consulted with me over... It was nice for her to treat me more as a knowledgeable peer than a clueless patient, because I've done my online homework! We examined the x-rays together, cam to the conclusions together, and then I was happy to undergo a simple injection procedure for the inflammation. I will definitely go back to see Dr. Amar. Looking forward to her treating my foot issues and happy ZocDoc put me in contact with this excellent Doctor.
