Dr. Socrates Kangadis MD

I've seen a lot of doctors in my life and this fellow seems to be clearly gifted with a superb talent for understanding his patients.

Dr. Kangadis is a fantastic Dr.! I really lucked out with finding him through Zoc Doc, especially with his office being so close to my house. He has a great bedside manner, and speaks to you with a positive demeanor, while not giving you any b.s. at the same time. He's young, which I prefer, because he looks at his patients entirely with patient history, and considers every option for patient health and well-being, so as not to miss anything. Highly recommend him!

Dr Kangadis is easy to talk to and I feel like he's actually concerned for my well being. After reacting to allergy testing, I wasn't rushed out, but rather allowed ample time to recover. Nurses are also sweethearts.

Dr Kangadis is an amazing doctor that really cares about his patients unlike any other doctor that I've visited in New York. He earned my full trust and I believe 100% that his only interest is my health and not to invoice me. I should also add that there were never surprises in the invoice or extra exams and medicine that were not needed. The stuff is really nice friendly and polite ready to solve any questions you may have. I have only good things to say about my overall experience and I would definitely recommend Dr Kangadis to all patients.

Dr. Kangadis is one of a kind. He isn't just a doctor, he's a friend that I'm completely comfortable with and I know will give me the best advice for my situation, even if it doesn't benefit him. The last doctor I had was not doing right by me in the least and gave me very poor advice about the medication I was taking just so he could make a few extra bucks. That being the situation, I was so pleased to meet Dr. Kangadis, a truly genuine, caring, knowledgable and passionate doctor. I feel absolutely blessed to have him in my corner.

Dr. Socrates is the "made for TV" movie Dr. we've all dreamt of having. He's incredibly knowledgeable, witty, caring, and honest to a tee. I was on my way out the door when I realized I forgot to ask him something. Without skipping a beat, he invited me into his office and gave me an additional 10 minutes of his time to talk about an issue wholly unrelated to the visit. Awesome! If you live anywhere in NYC, you'd be wise to visit Doc Soc!

After I saw this Dr for the first time, I liked him. He's very attentive and listens to questions and concerns, as is the staff. Seems very knowledgeable and thorough. I was hesitant at first because I've never been here, but loved everything, office is nice and he seemed to genuinely care. Great bedside manner. However, I will say good luck with getting results back. Maybe I was a rare scenario, but I had several tests done that he recommended and never heard back on the results even after leaving 3 messages with the receptionists.

The last 5 years that I moved in NY it was really difficult to find a doctor that I can trust. Dr Kangadis is the best doctor that I've been in New York,compare to other doctors he is very affordable (for someone like me without an insurance), he doesn't give me extra medication,tests etc if it is not needed, he explains everything very simple and I love the fact that I can go for almost everything!I would definitely recommend Dr. Kangadis to everyone.

I highly recommend this doctors office. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, she helped me get my paper work filled out quickly. I did not have to wait long at all before someone brought me back into a room. I felt that they were really concerned with making sure that all of my needs were addressed. They were thorough but also efficient; I was in and out in 30 minutes. I am making Dr. Kangadis my primary physician for sure.

Dr. Kangadis treats you with respect ,listens to you and makes you feel like your family while your there. You can tell him anything that bothers you without being unconfortable when you do ., Hes honest with his answers and alwasy welcomes anything new that you have a problem with ,and guides you to the person that will best solve it if it is not something he works with.

Dr. Kangadis was very easy to speak with and he was a great listener. I really felt confident that he would take care of me because he wanted the best for my well being. It felt as if I were speaking with a friend who know medicine.

I brought my mother to the Dr. with a severe allergic reaction and by the time we left she was already feeling 100 times better. The Dr. took the time and patience to improve her overall well being not just to treat her rash. Dr. Kangadis treats all of his patients as individuals, not just #'s.

My visit with Dr. Kangadis today was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a doctor's office. I went in for a physical and he was beyond thorough, sensitive about my concerns, and extremely knowledgeable and able to explain my conditions to me in an easy-to-understand way. Hands down one of the best doctor's I've ever been to!

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Kangadis and I can't overstate how great he is. He was extremely knowledgable and explained everything thoroughly without ever being condescending. I can't believe I'm saying this about a doctor, but he actually seems to care. Plus, he's super cool. A+, Dr. Kangadis. My new PCP for sure.

I was late to my appointment, so I was OK with it taking a while for the doctor to see me. In the meantime, I had several pleasant interactions with the office staff and also the nurse who helped me. This office is THOROUGH! The nurse gave me a 20-25 minute survey (in addition to the standard health history forms that I filled out with my insurance information). When I met with the doctor, it was evident to me that he had actually taken the time to read the survey, and even though my main reason for being in the office was to deal with bronchitis/sinus issues, he asked me about general health stuff and THEN specifically requested that I tell him anything else I wanted to ask about my health. Did I mention that this office has hours after work and on weekends?

Dr. K is the man!! Super nice & patient, always listens thoroughly & explains everything clearly.

My 2nd visit. This doctor knows his medicine. Unlike so many PCP providers he treats his patients does not refer them to some specialist as has become the norm. Good man, good doctor.

No words can describe how comfortable you will feel at Dr. Kangadis office. I have searched for several years for a doctor whom I can trully trust and that I know is not going to bombard me with medication and bring me into the office every little bit for absurd reasons just to cash in a visit. Dr. Kangadis is like no other dr. He's amazing ! I love him.

Dr. Socrates was great. He had a very pleasant bedside manner as well as making me feel very comfortable. I liked that he used real words and didn't overwhelm me. He also was very funny and down to earth. Made my visit much easier. The wait time I have heard is not always that extreme, they were just having some issues that day. Also, the other problem was parking is not the greatest there.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful with my insurance. The Dr was awesome. I do feel like I had different treatment options that I would have been more comfortable with. This was my first visit and I am trusting that the treatment the Dr put me on is the best option.

I have been feeling absolutely horrible and terrified because I am having very strong illness symptoms. Dr. Kangadis and his staff made me feel completely at ease. They were through in asking questions, the tests they run, and with explaining everything that is going on all the while. I very wary when it comes to doctors because I often feel like everything is over my head....not today! It was like a revelation, and I knew exactly what was going on. Dr. Kangadis is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met. I am normally incredibly nervous going for checkups, but he made me feel comfortable and at ease the whole time. He is friendly and personable along with his staff. They are all absolutely amazing. It was hard to believe that people were switching primary care to him, but after meeting him and experiencing it first hand, I cant imagine not having him as my primary care physician.

I have seen a lot of doctors in my life (because of living in different countries) and he is probably the best I have met with. He is VERY knowledgeable. My check up was great and I appreciated that he values prevention so much. Also, the offices are great and the staff very professional.

He took the time to explain everything to me and answered my questions. I've never had a Primary Care Physician who actually talked to me without just brushing me off to rush on to the next patient. I would definitely would recommend Dr. K to others.

After my second visit with Dr. Kangadis I’ve decided to make him my new PCP. There is a reason his reviews on here are near-perfect—it's because he's a five-plus star doctor (No, nobody paid me to say that!) Dr. K was very thorough as many others have said, and in that spirit I will be thorough in my review. He’s the first doctor I’ve had who actually showed me the diagram of my ECG and explained it, pointing out a slight palpitation I need to be aware of over time. In addition to all of the basic breathing tests, he also gave me an asthma test that he explained is relatively new, just to be sure because of my condition. During the consultation, he was incredibly generous with his time and comfortable to talk with. The coolness factor is backed with a vast array of knowledge as I discovered after asking what must have been a bazillion questions. I respect that he’s not afraid to give his honest opinion, even when it’s not conventional. Very impressed that he’s all about preventative care and does not prescribe medicine unless he feels it is truly necessary. Dr. K was extremely helpful and I’m so motivated that I’m currently implementing one of his suggestions to keep a consistent sleep schedule. Also, the doc is with the times- he “e-sent” my prescription so all I had to do was pick it up. As for the décor of the office, all of the rooms I was in were refreshingly spacious, nice and clean. I will definitely be recommending Dr. Kangadis to my favorite people.

Dr Kangadis was extremely helpful. First, I have to commend his nurses - they are probably the most informative and polite nurses I've ever met. The doctor walked me through each procedure I requested and made the necessary recommendations based on my insurance plan. I came to him with several things I needed done and he took the time to explain and perform each. Afterwards, we chatted about medications and future visits, as well as cars and watches (great way to connect personally). He even took the time to call in my prescriptions thereby saving me time at the pharmacy. I'll surely recommend Dr Kangadis to anyone looking for a primary care physician in the area!

He's a great doctor who's a very casual conversationalist. He explains his diagnosis in a no-nonsense manner, and he's very to ask questions to. Best part is his office is open on Saturdays, perfect for 9-5ers.

This doctor is AWESOME! Very knowledgeable, great bedside manner, and he immediately puts you at ease. Most doctors let you talk for 5 minutes before they write you a script, but Dr. Kangadis took the time to do a thorough consultation and exam. All the staff were professional and friendly.

Best doctor I have ever been to

This was my first visit to this clinic and doctor. I was impressed with both. The clinic is new and clean. The support staff are friendly & professional. Most importantly, the doctor was very friendly, courteous and respectful. My reason for going to the doctor was sensitive in nature but I felt relaxed to speak openly about it with this doctor.

The staff were very polite, professional, and friendly. The nurse was thorough and took her time. The doctor was very detailed and asked me pointed questions which helped to get to the root of my problem. He spent about 30 minutes with me (this is the most time I've ever been allotted by a doctor). When I call the office to follow up on my results, I am patched straight through to the doctor. The overall experience is very good. I will return and highly recommend to everyone.

I was very nervous to enter a doctors office that was new to me but from the moment I stepped in I was swept away with their professionalism. I couldn't thank Dr.Kangadis enough for all his help on my visit. You can tell just how dedicated he is to his patients and I had yet to find that in a Doctor until today. Absolutely LOVED him! (Pretty sure I proposed). Wants to treat the cause of the problem instead of the symptoms for my asthma! NO other doctor has EVER done this. I am VERY impressed with his knowledge but yet he has a great bedside manner and sense of humor.

This was my first visit and I am very pleased with the results. Practicing in a clean and friendly environment, Dr. Kangadis and staff are an extremely competent and professional group of health care providers. My waiting time was very short and after I was examined thoroughly, Dr. Kangadis and I had a private consultation. I believe I have found a new PCP.

Wonderful doctor. I've yet to find someone who cares as much as he does about actually finding out about YOU and all your issues so that he can find out exactly what is wrong and solve it to the best of his ability. He listens to everything you have to say and he's to the point with his explanations, but in no way do you ever feel rushed. Quality doctor and super friendly staff as well!

He is the type of doctor that actually wants to figure out what's wrong and fix it instead of giving up because of the seriousness or complexity of the medical problem. The only other time in all my years of treatment that I actually felt like my doctors knew what they were doing was when I was being treated at the mayo clinic. I feel I can trust Dr. Socrates and that he actually cares.....and with my serious medical problems, it's important to have a doctor who knows what they are doing.

Hands down best doctor experience of all time. And that's including when I was 5 and got to play with toys and eat candy at the doctor's office. Dr. Kangadis is what would happen if you combined Seth Rogan with House, but then took out the befuddled ignorance and crippling prescription drug addiction. There was zero wait time, I was offered tea, I got a complete and thorough physical and everything was explained in a super relaxed and detailed way. I tip my hat to you, sir.

Physician Assistant was very friendly and had a great sense of humour which made me feel more at ease. Doctor was genuinely interested in my overall health and all of my concerns were addressed.

Seeing Dr. K was one of the greatest experiences with a Doctor I have ever had! He was highly caring and thorough. I enjoyed having a doctor actually listen, rather than feeling rushed out of the office. It was a pleasure to be asked questions & listened to like a human being. He is interested in overall health and causes for health problems, as opposed to simply writing a prescription. He is very blunt on issues he feels strongly about, and provides fact-based answers, rather than Pharmaceutical Industry pushed opinions. After seeing him for the first time, I feel that my healthcare and well-being are finally in good hands!

I did not feel rushed or ignored, as he took the time to listen to my concerns and explain to me in detail what he was doing. Dr. Kangadis truly values his patients' health.
