Dr. Stephen Hart MD

He basically told me that he did not believe in chemical imbalances, without even getting to know me and my symptoms. He spent half the consultation telling stories (un medical related) to try to prove his case. When he found out that I was from Texas, he started telling me all about the epidemic of teachers handing out ritalin to kids there. This anecdote (and my place of birth) should have no weight in determining a patient's needs. I started off by saying that I had not been to the doctor in a long while and the last time the doctor spent the whole time talking about my anxiety that I use to have, and no longer have, instead of helping me with what I was most concerned about. This doctor proceeded to do the same thing, spending half the session talking about my last doctors visit (in '08), and how effective the prescription that doctor gave me was. Overall the experience was very offensive, and was no help. He let his personal beliefs get in the way of serving his patient's needs.

Unlike alot of doctors, Dr. Hart took a crazy awesome amount of time getting to know my history and took that into account as well. He didn't just glance at my current symptoms and leave it at that.

Very welcoming and warming

I felt like he was being very dismissive, after about ten minutes he just gave me a referral to another doctor and sent me on my way.

I had to get three vaccinations, all of which Dr. Hart administered pain-free. He definitely inspires confidence. I'd recommend him to anyone seeking a no nonsense visit to the doctors office.

Dr. Hart was very good humored and knowledgeable. I haven't seen a doctor in a long awhile, so he took his time and we went over all of my many, many concerns. He's also kind of geeky, in a good way of course, going into detail about how certain diseases arise (and how to best avoid them!) Others have mentioned that he was kind of preachy, but I didn't see it that way. He's an up-front kind of person, and tells you what you need to hear! I felt very at ease with him near the end of the visit and look forward to working with him again.

Dr. Hart was extremely kind and concerned, and gave me plenty of time and attention. I recommend him very strongly.

Highly recommend Dr. Hart. I was traveling from Washington, DC on my way to Indonesia with my family. I needed to get my son into see a doctor in the US, on short notice, Dr. Hart saw him. He gave excellent advice on my son's condition and also so tips to the family about taking care of ourselves on the flight and in Indonesia. If I lived in the Oakland/San Fran area I would make Dr. Hart our family doctor.

I found Dr. Hart to be very knowledgeable but he didn't wait for me to finish a sentence and I felt judged about my lifestyle (which is NOT alternative or outlandish!) Overall, the appointment was pretty much a waste of time.

he was very knolegble and found a solution for my daugheter that worked very well. besides he is very pleasant and caring clearly listening the patient.

He was very attentive. I was also impressed by the fact he gave me his email and has been attentive to me even when I am not in his office. I am continually apprehensive about finding new doctors; Doctor Hart proved my worries wrong.

So, I was suffering with acne for the past year and it was extremely devestating. I went to two different dermatologists, I've used six different types of topical creams/ gels (which were harsh on my face), and I've taken two different types of antibiotics. The result was nothing, it only cause severe dry patches on my face. Two weeks ago I went to Dr. Hart and he recommended a facial wash and prescribed a gentle topical gel to use once a day. And now two weeks later, my face finally looks amazing again. My acne is almost completely gone, I only have 5 pimples on my face.

He does not provide any additional clarity that you would get from a random web site.
