She's very personable and listens well. I felt she asked pertinent questions and addressed my concerns quickly. She even arranged for me to see a consulting physician that day. Very happy indeed!

Dr. Dacotis listens to you very intently and doesnt brush off your concerns. She is a wonderful caring doctor. My male friend recommended her to me a few years ago and I am grateful for the recommendation. Dr. Dacotis is one of the best internists and family doctors I have ever seen.

Went in for a lingering cold. As my last visit she was calm, attentive and friendly. I had to wait a little while in the exam room for the Dr. but since I was 20 minutes late, this was probably my fault. (and no one complained about me being late). Love her!

I am so happy I found Dr. Decotiis! I have been in NY for over a year and have been looking for a good primary care physician (close to office, takes my insurance, clean office, etc) and she is everything and more. She saw me right away and took care of every concern/need I had diligently. Just a wonderful doctor!

Sue was nice, enjoyed my interaction with her. I have to say I find the receptionists at this place to be quite rude/indifferent. Experience would improve greatly if they were more competent/friendly/welcoming.

Everything was very smooth. I showed up about 15 minutes early so that my new patient paperwork was done by my appointment time. The receptionists were friendly and effecient. I had to wait about 25 minutes before Dr.Decotiis came in the exam room, but that might have been due to waiting for Urine test results. I found her calming and easy to talk to. I went in for an infection but will be booking a physical soon. Great experience.

Dr. Decotiis was very perceptive and detected a heart murmur that no one else has discovered for the past 30 years. She was also warm and caring and took the time to discuss any concerns I had.

I felt like she was rather pushy. I know she had the best intention, but there were some facts that she brought up that were a contrary to what other doctors had informed me of previously.

Dr. Decotiis is great - she is one of those rare doctors who is both kind and extremely thorough. I waited about 20 minutes but it was well worth it, and I had made the appointment online less than 24 hours beforehand. If you need a dermatologist, DEFINITELY schedule an appointment with Dr. Reich. She is wonderful as well. I highly recommend this practice.

I made an appointment to see the Dr. for an Annual Physical. The front desk booked me in as if I was sick. Anyway, the assistant used the time I had to wait for a new room to draw bllod and do some other preliminary work. Dr Decotiis was professional and listed to me and made some suggestions for my well being. Not a bad visit.

Physical exam went well, and I enjoyed meeting with the doctor. One drawback - after I met with the nurse, I was told the doctor would be in to see me within a few minutes. However, it was over 45 minutes before she came into the examination room. I had to reschedule my first work appointment of the day (which I should have had more than enough time to make), and literally run to make my second appointment.

I enjoyed my vist with Dr. Decotiis. She's been my doctor for quite a few years and find that she listens to your problems, makes great suggestions and seem to really care about your well-being. She's not the type of doctor who is in a hurry to prescribe something without examining you thoroughly. I used to dread going to the doctor, but no longer since I've been a patient of Dr. Decotiis'. The entire office atmosphere makes me feel welcome as soon as I walk through the door.

I saw this doctor yesterday and loved her. I thought she was very thorough, I felt like she cared and I think she prescribed the right course of treatment because I am starting to feel better in less than 24 hours. I have been through a number of physicians in NYC having lived here most of my life and I am definitely going to make Dr. Decotiis my new primary care physician. Her staff was also extremely nice and accommodating. My apt. was at 3 and they saw me at 3 on the dot. I was literally in-and-out in less than 25 minutes. I HATE going to the doctor but this was an extremely pleasant experience that only could have been improved if I wasn't sick.

The address provided by zocdoc is incorrect. When I alerted the receptionists of this, they could careless (on the phone and in person). I had an appt. at 8:30 and was not seen until 9:20. Dr. Decotiis was great, friendly and professional however her staff need some work.

I have never been more satisfied with a doctor in my life. I came to see her during a very difficult period of my life and her compassion and understanding meant more to me than I can say. She and her staff made me feel very comfortable and I never felt like I was being rushed out of the office. She was extremely willing to discuss all treatment options and addressed many of my concerns before I even had the opportunity to ask. I would strongly recommend her to anyone.

This is my second visit, and I found the bedside manner to be cold and un-informative both times. I had to specifically ask "what's wrong with me" before I knew what was going on. She seemed in a hurry and disinterested in making sure I felt informed.

Dr. Decotiis is fantastic! I would recommend her to everyone looking for an honest, comforting and down to earth physician. She addressed all of my issues and I left the office feeling better about myself than I have in a while. Additionally, the staff was excellent; very helpful and caring!

I was a half an hour to my appointment and was still seen in a timely manner. The front desk staff helped me figure out my new insurance and were very friendly. The RN was personable and very considerate. Dr. Decotiis was very generous with her time, giving me a full physical and listened to my complete medical history and concerns. It was a great experience.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Decotiis yesterday (7.29.09), and I thought she was excellent. She asked questions, listened to what I had to say, and made me feel extremely comfortable.

The office and equipments are a bit old. Reviews said she was friendly but I found her to be rushing me a bit. But she scheduled an exam for my health concern which no doctor has done before.

I had an 8:30 AM appointment and still waited an hour before seeing the doctor. She seemed knowledgeable and prescribed a z-pack for throat and ear problems and said we needed to "keep an eye on the fluid in my ears". After the z-pack I still have pain so I guess I have to go back. Would be nice if she could refer me to an ENT on the phone, but evidently she doesn't talk to patients on the phone.

Doctor was fine professionally but not very personal. Get the sense that you are a "number" during her day. Office staff was unbelievably unprofessional-impatient and rude and lacking professional demeanor with patients in the office.

I went in for a physical. The nurse (who was really nice and patient) saw me almost immediately, but I waited a little while for the doctor herself. Once I did see her, the procedure seemed to go pretty efficiently. She's super-friendly and took my health complaints seriously, offering realistic advice and getting me scheduled for follow-up procedures right away.
