Dr. Suzanne Bellante OD

I felt very rushed. It was my first appointment and as a new patient I expected some more "warmness". After calling my name to meet her at the desk, the doc didn't even wait for me to walk up before she started walking very quickly ahead of me to her office, where she arrived at least 20 seconds before me. She should have introduced herself before running away from me.

She is wonderful and thorough!

I have been seeing Dr. Bellante for over 10 years and she has been instrumental in working with me to address some complicated visual challenges. She brings a unique blend of technical expertise, professionalism, kindness and humor to her role. My two pre-school age children are huge fans and look forward to their eye exams. I highly recommend Dr. Bellante - she's a keeper!

My last eye doctor mis-diagnosed my prescription and Dr. Bellante was incredibly helpful having this problem fixed. She was very thorough and nice and I was in and out in an hour! Also, the office is very big and clean and I was very impressed overall with my first visit and will be back.

I really liked the office, and the manners of everyone that worked there. It was very comfortable, and I really felt like I was really being taken care of.

She was more knowledgable than I imagined with a degree of compassion. It was a 5pm appt, which, to me, is the end of the day, However, she still took her time. I"ll definitely see her again.

Very friendly and professional yet personable. I was in and out very quickly and everything was explained to me clearly. I went in to get a glasses prescription and to check on an old injury I had sustained.

The waiting room was extremely crowded (almost surprisingly so) however my wait time was not very long. This was my first eye Dr appt, just for a checkup, so I did not really know what to expect. Dr. Bellante was extremely nice and very thorough with the exam. My eyesight turned out to be better than 20/20 which was nice to hear. My only minor complaint is that when she put the drops in to dilate my eyes she mentioned that I might be "a little blurry" for an hour or so, which was quite an understatement! Again, since this was my first eye exam I was unaware that you literally cannot see straight afterwards! I had to go right to work and was unable to do anything for a couple of hours. Lesson learned for next time, however I do recommend Dr. Bellante as she had a great bedside manner.

Dr. Bellante is very professional and very proficient. I am a patient who likes the provider to explain what she is doing before she does it - in the glaucoma test, for example, what is the bright blue light doing that I need to place my eye up against? She is not great at contributing what might be considered extraneous information but which puts a patient like me at ease. All in all she is fast, thorough, and friendly.

Dr. Bellante cares about her patients and was very easy to talk to. She is knowledgable and was very thorough in the examination. She saw problems I am having with my eyes that I would have forgotton to mention. I was truly impressed with the entire service. I would recommend her to people.

she is awful..she has zero patience to deal with children,,my child is only 3 years old,,and she was talking to my child like she was a 6 years old kid..it was my kid first visit to check her eyes and this doctor was upset because my child was shy..hello you are suppose to make it comfortable for the child to feel comfortable she has zero patience. she old my child that she was wasting her time..i couldn't believe she was lucky i didn't snap at her..she shouldn't be working with children..i wouldn't recommend this doctor to no mother.

Office is crazy. Whole appointment took and hour and a half although I only spent about 20 mins with the doctor.

I've been a patient of Ms. Bellante's for a few years and love her. She is friendly, but more importantly, professional. She answers all of my questions and gets me in and out of my appointment very timely. I now have my husband go to her, and would recommend anyone else to as well.

As good as she always is...

The visit went smootly--I filled out paperwork and waited a few minutes and was called back. Dr. Bellante did the exam and then dilated my pupils, I waited 20 minutes as she told me and then we did other tests. The only thing I wasn't made aware of was they charge $50 to do a contact lens fitting which I found out at checkout--I think that was ridiculous as my prescription didn't change and she just had me try on daily use contacts. If I had known it was going to be $50 I wouldn't have done it, I would have stuck with my other two week contacts. Overall smooth visit.

Dr Bellante takes the time necessary to try different techniques to improve vision with contacts. I do not feel rushed during the appointments, and follow-up appointments for trial lens revisions are not discouraged. I would recommend Dr Bellante all potential customers/patients.

Great doctor, very friendly. I did wait a very long time though before I was seen.

I liked Dr. Bellante, great professional, great communicator, nice office and reception was easy. I did not appreciate waiting nearly 45 mins for my appointment. I was checked in and waiting at the appointed time and had to wait an additional 45 minutes. I think it's great that Dr. Bellante now has a full schedule thanks to ZocDoc, but wasting 45 minutes of my time is unprofessional and inconsiderate. Her excuse was that she was backlogged...no apology nor acknowledgment that my time is as valuable as hers... bad business practice.

Dr. Bellante is excellent, but I was less than pleased with the front desk staff and the telephone system for the office. Being a highly conscientious person, I attempted to call the office to alert them to my having gotten trapped in the subway leaving me quite late for my appointment. I called three times: Not only did no one pick up the phone, but the phone system sent me in circles when attempting to "hold for customer service". By the time I gave up and left a message, I was quite frustrated and worried that the doctor would no longer be there as the zocdoc system left the impression that my appointment time was the last one available on this day. When I arrived to the office, by taxi, the front desk person was not aware of my appointment nor my status as a previous client and without insurance. All of which was communicated through zodoc 2-3 weeks previously. Nor, did the employee apologize for anything. Not impressed, at all. Then, I had to wait to see Dr. Bellante, despite the office looking quite empty.

Dr. Bellante was very pleasant and matter of fact. She is quietly skilled, reserving her conclusions for the end of her observations. The office is very busy and full of activity, but it was a welcoming environment. THe equipment and technology used in the office is state of the art and I felt that my evaluation was thorough. I was completely satisfied with my first visit.

The receptionist was extremely rude!

She was extremely efficient and thorough, but a her bedside manner was a little lacking in friendliness. I was, however, very pleased with the visit overall...the staff is very efficient, I was seen almost immediately.

Very professional, thorough. I went in as a new patient for a simple eye exam; I save money by buying frames and contacts online, and Dr. Bellante and her staff did not pressure me to buy these things from their eye care center. More than I can say for most practices.
