Dr. Suzette Garofano is a pulmonologist and critical care specialist treating patients in the New York and greater New York City areas. She holds Board
certification in internal medicine, critical care medicine, and pulmonary disease. She is also a member of professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the New York State Thoracic Society.
Born in New York, Dr. Garofano attended Adelphi University for her undergraduate degree. Here, she graduated summa cum laude and was awarded membership in the Delta Tau Alpha honor society. She pursued her medical degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. At the North Shore University Hospital, Dr. Garofano completed an internship and residency program focused on the study of internal medicine. She also completed fellowships in critical care medicine and pulmonary disease at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
