Dr. Taubes is a first rate, five star, triple distilled and absolutely wonderful therapist. With great alacrity and skill, she gets to the nub of whatever your issues are and offers great insight with enviable clarity. She is very warm, compassionate and has a great sense of humor, but uses it appropriately, suffice to say. I don't have insurance presently, so she is flexible in the extreme, though I do my very best to pay her the "going" rate. I can only speak of her in accolades and kudos. In every way, a MOST excellent therapist whom I would recommend very ardently and with great sincerity.

I do not directly accept any insurance. However, I work hard with patients to maximize their OUT-OF-NETWORK reimbursement. Call your insurance company and ask how they compensate "Behavioral Health." You'll find that they may reimburse you for up to 70% of your fees for therapy, after the deductible.
My goal as practitioner is to understand my patients' individuality &personal difficulties and to customize treatment for each patient. Neurocognitive care and the use of psychotherapy without medication is my focus. When medication is necessary, along with psychotherapy, my emphasis is on finding the safest, most effective &conservative treatment possible. My expertise lies in utilizing the different modalities of psychotherapy.
I work with people with emotional &relationship problems, and have received the Patient's Choice Award (5 years) &Patient's Choice Award for Most Compassionate Physician (3 times).
I'm certified to use Buprenorphine (Suboxone) and Certified in Psychiatry &Neurology, specializing in Treatment for Addiction and in Psychotherapy.
I am a member of the American Academy of Addiction Medicine, the American Psychiatric Association, & the New York Society of Addiction Medicine.I earned my medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College & completed my residency in Psychiatry at NY Presbyterian Hospital. I received my Addiction training from NYU Langone Medical Center.
