Dr. Thomas Ryan MD

Dr. Ryan was awesome! He told me exactly what was going on with me and how we could correct the problem. I was out of the office in 1/2 hour. That's including x-rays! The staff is wonderful too! Highly recommended!

Overall, the visit was very good, though they did leave me waiting a bit long in the examination room.

The entire office staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Ryan diagnosed my problem as an ulnar nerve injury and immediately referred me for additional tests. Definitely recommend his service!

He is to the point and not very compassionate, but knowledgeable. He diagnosed my issue quickly and agreed to try to get my insurance company to cover what I need, so we'll see how that works out. Wait was long for the amount of time he spent with me and I had to have an assistant track him down to ask additional questions.

I thought Doc. Ryan and his staff were friendly and patient-oriented. Dr. Ryan in particular was very approachable, professional, detailed in his assessment and very helpful. The office seemed more casual and busy than most--but my guess is a lot of people have back, neck, arm and leg pain. All in all, I look forward to returning for my next visit.

I had a 10:00 a.m appt. and was seen at 11::30. A very unreasonable amount of time to be left hanging in the lobby and the exam room. There was also no apology or explanation - rather quite matter of fact. This aspect was offensive and disappointing.

Overall good experience, took almost an hour to be seen (office seemed very busy) but didn't feel rushed during actual visit.

Dr. Ryan is a very friendly, relaxed, and competent orthopedic surgeon. He is exceptionally good at communications with his patients as well.

If you make your appointment before lunchtime it is much better, and they get you in right away! Doctor Ryan's office is easy to get to and his staff is great!

It exceeded my expectations.

Would not treat more than one condition per appointment but I feel that may be standard. I went for lower back pain and he seemed knowledgeable and prescribed no medication just physical therapy which is exactly what I wanted.

my whole experience at Dr Ryan's office was wonderful. I felt well taken care of from the moment I walked in, to the pre-consultation and xray with Mike, through to my appt with Dr Ryan, who was very charming and assuring. I'm very glad I made the trek to Friendship Heights (the office is convenient to the metro).

Dr. Ryan was great! However they were overbooked and I waited 1.5 hours after my appointment time. I am not sure if that's their normal practice or I just was in on a bad day.

Dr. Ryan was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was willing to say that my son's problem was not his primary area of expertise and gave us a name of another MD in the speciality he believed would be better suited to help us. Not very many MDs are willing to do this. His office staff is also very friendly. The amazing thing was the xray technician took additional time to help us at the front desk when they became busy so nobody was waiting. I was very impressed.

The staff was great, everone one had smiles on their faces. Service was quick. Dr. Ryan was excellent too xrays really examined my knee, an explained to me what was causing my knee to swell, had my knee drained, not fun! But Dr. Ryan was fast, kept the convo going and even through in a few jokes, he's great, I know Im in good hands. I dee him again next week! Thanks ZocDoc :)

Been going to Dr. Ryan since I moved to DC a year ago. He knows his stuff, explains things well, and was able to save me a lot of money on tests as he could tell a lot from physical analysis and x-rays. He helped fix my back with his recommendation of Kennsington Physical Therapy. Chris Gellert is by far the best Physio ive been to. He creates individual plans and works with you to solve problems. I tried numerous physios before him and every one of them was the same ( no examinations of conditions, didn't know very much, and gave me generic plans). Chris is by far the best ive been to. Getting back to Dr Ryan, he also helped identify problems in my knee that caused problems in other knee tendons and ligaments which has totally eliminated any problems there. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Ryan was great - nice and warm like your own grandpa but with respect and courtesy like a professional. It was a good experience and I would recommend him.

I had to wait for 2 hours but it was worth it. I needed to see the doctor and he gave me an appointment, which was just super. He seems to know what he is doing and I highly recommend him when you need medical service fast.

He was very professional. I was there for a counsultation. Another doctor had told me that I needed a knee replacement. He explained the procedure that I had, had in October much better than the 1st doctor. He gave me an alternative and he aligned all my fears. Thanks
