He does not treat patients for chronic pain or those on psychiatric medications.
A graduate of the American University of the Caribbean in 1984, Dr. McCann completed his residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in 1987.
Dr. McCann is on the medical staff at Des Peres Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Anthony's and Barnes Jewish Hospital. He is taking new patients and accepts most insurance plans. Same day appointments are available.

He was very unhelpful and told me my mind/stomach problems were all in my head. Guess what? I had to have my gall bladder removed due to polyps, and was diagnosed with GAD and depression.

I went to this doctor when I first received health benefits last year. The experience overall was not anything I've expected and it felt like all i had done was my blood pressure taken and was pushed out of the office. I got no help or further insight for any of the questions/concerns I had and all he did was suggest me to go see his friends who were specialists. This surprised me; as I picked this physician strictly for his high reviews. Since then, I picked a new PCP that was great to me. Unfortunately, he retired so I decided to give Mr. McCann a 2nd shot. It was absolutely no change from the last visit. This time I had to argue with him just to refill my prescriptions because he said I needed to see a therapist... I would not personally recommend this doctor to anyone. My apologies if my expectations of what a PCP is different but this is my personal opinion.

Short and he shrugged his shoulder and said i don't know when I'm just asking him if my headaches is related to my high blood pressure.. That's how horrible he is. He needs to retire as early as tomorrow, he shouldn't exist at all.

I completed my medical history online but it was not received by the office. I wait over 1.5 hours to find out the office was also not prepared for the simple biometric tests I requested ahead of time. Untimely and unprepared!

I think the Dr is great but when you call the office to ask a question they always say they will call you back and never do. You have to call them to get answers to your questions. It is very annoying and unprofessional.

Did a great job listening and explaining everything. I have had past doctors who rush you and already have one foot out the door by the time they finally come in to see you. Dr. McCann was the exact opposite from this. He is a good doctor with great bedside manner who cares about his patients. I will definitely make him my new general practitioner.

It was a first visit and I enjoyed it. He took his time to explain questions asked and listened to my needs. He was kind and respectful. I felt comfortable and would again see this doctor and recommend him to friends and family members.

Very personable and professional. Provided lots of information. Office staff was very nice and I was very comfortable with my first visit to a new doctor. i would highly recommend Dr. McCann to all but especially to patients that have doctor anxiety.

Dr. McCann is a true professional with a human quality you don't always find. I've already sent numerous friends and neighbors his way. His staff is courteous and helpful which is a special bonus when you're seeking medical care. It's apparent they enjoy working with him. The technological advances going on show a commitment to his patients and the future of his practice.
