Dr. Ianchulev is a Harvard trained MD with clinical and research expertise in glaucoma, cataract and macular degeneration. He has numerous publications in the top medical journals and is invited to present at international meetings and congresses.
While at Genentech, Dr. Ianchulev was the clinical director of the landmark Lucentis clinical trials and investigations and was instrumental to the FDA approval of Lucentis - the most significant advancement in the treatment of retinal vascular diseases over the last 20 years. His new research on minimally invasive glaucoma treatments is on the cutting edge of ophthalmic surgical innovation.
Dr. Ianchulev is an Associate Professor at UCSF where he teaches residents and physicians-in-training.Dr. Ianchulev is double licensed in the US and EU. He also participates in international medical missions and is one of the founders of the www.KeepYourSight.org foundation.
