Dr. Van Vo is a therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. She is national board certified in the treatment and management of ocular
disease. Dr. Vo received her Doctor of Optometry from The University of Houston College of Optometry. She is also an alumnus of The University of Houston where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Health.
Dr. Vo has extensive training in ocular pathology including diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, and glaucoma. During her clinical rotation at Bridge Builders Eye Clinic, Neurodevelopmental Sensory Enhancement Center, and the University of Houston Eye Institute, she gained valuable experience on full scope optometry working alongside with glaucoma, retinal, and oculoplastic specialists in diagnosing and managing patients with various ocular conditions. Dr. Vo has published and lectured her Grand Rounds on ocular tumor as part of a continuing education program. Her special interests include patient education, adult and pediatric eye care, hard to fit contact lenses, dry eye and eye allergies treatments, and diabetic /glaucoma/cataract co-management.
Dr. Vo is a member of the Northeast Texas Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association
Dr. Vo is fluent in Vietnamese and is proficient to conduct exams in Spanish. Outside of the office, Dr. Vo enjoys cooking and spending time with her friends and family, especially over a good meal. She also enjoys traveling and a good "chick-flick" movie every so often.
