Patient Reviews for Dr. Warren Lyons - MD
Main reason why I chose this doctor was convenience - it's just few block from me and if one is sick, this matters quite a lot. The staff at the office was nice and professional and the doctor was OK - but for my $100 I would expect more than 60 seconds of his undivided attention. Not to mention that the wait time of 45 minutes was a bit too long.
He was very lucid and succinct in explaining what needed to be done to solve the problem.
Didn't like it he checked me and said I have a common cold but I fell worse so I don't think its a common cold
Spent more time with the nurse than with the doctor; however he was professional and knowledgeable
I usually do not go to doctors, but I needed to and Dr. Lyons and the staff were great. I felt comfortable right away and even as a new patient, my waiting time was unbelievably short. I will definitely have no problem making this office my pcp.
Dr. Lyons is very nice but they charge for follow-up visits! I've never been charged for follow-up from any doctor! That's ridiculous! Will never go back.
Dr. Lyons was running a bit late but with the snow that was not unexpected. His professionalism and personality made it worth the wait. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lyons.
I thought he was to the point and very professional. I was examined very quickly and he was able to answer all my questions. The staff are very friendly. I would recommend this to others.
Dr. Lyons was courteous and helpful. My visit was a simple physical, and he and the nurses were nice, helpful, and efficient.
Dr. Lyons seems like a nice guy but he is ridiculously unfocused and disorganized. I went to see him over a head cold and/or allergies that was making me cough. He talked to me for two minutes and decided to order a bunch of tests - an x-ray and bloodwork! (They ended up showing nothing of course.) After this 4-hour odyssey I had to wait for another half-hour while his wife drove in his scrip pad from Staten Island. AND I had to call back again because the pharmacist couldn't decipher what he wrote. After the follow-up, he wanted to schedule a standard physical a month later. So I go along with it - when the time comes I roll out of bed and come in fasting. HE HAS NO IDEA WHY I'M THERE. Looks in the file and sees he already has a lot of bloodwork on me, decides no, this must be a follow-up. (A second follow-up? At this point I am too hungry and caffeine-deprived to argue it further.) So we literally do nothing, shoot the breeze for 5 minutes and I split. Of course he'll bill my insurer for this as a full visit. I thought the fact that he was on ZocDocs was an indication that he was perhaps more "with it" than the average physician here in South Brooklyn. But, alas, I was wrong. At least I get to write this review.
