Dr. Sun received extensive medical training in both China and the United States. He earned his medical degree from Nanjing Medical College in Nanjing, China and completed ophthalmology residency at the same school. He completed his surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and an ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University. In Nashville, TN. He also completed a research fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma at the University of Kentuky and Vanderbilt University. Dr. Sun's special interests include cataracts, glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology. Outside of medical practice, Dr. Sun enjoys swimming, tennis and family activities with his wife and two sons.
