Dr. Zachary Bregman MD

Arrogant and belittling and rude. Is not an active listener or compassionate at all. It's his way or the highway.

Cured me of my chest pressure and tightness and gave me a flu shot. Great doctor.

The 5 stars aren't gratuitous, Dr. Bregman earned them... He comes off as more competent than most doctors, he's nice and is acutely aware of the stress patients have going to the doctor (most physicians seem numbed to it), but he also seems to genuinely care, i.e. rather than having me fill out the medical history form before he saw me and then reading it while I waited, he had memorized it and went through it with me (not as cost efficient for him, but nice for new patients.) He also didn't just "pop-in" like most doctors do after being in the "second waiting" room for 20 minutes - he spent more than half the visit with me, and the rest was spent having tests done by the nurse and waiting for my appointment to begin (I arrived early, but it actually started on time.) I was never left alone! He also went well out of his way to deal with some bureaucratic issues that were my own fault, and since I'm meeting with a specialist in his building soon he gave me a floating appointment such that I could schedule my follow up right after that appointment. Too bad this site doesn't have a bonus star.

Doctor was extremely friendly and seemed to take the time to ensure he did everything well. Seemed knowledgeable and caring. Best doctor I've seen in a while.

Friendly, funny, thorough, and caring. Dr. Bregman was the first doctor I visited after moving to NYC, and he will be the last - I recommend him to anyone in need of a primary care physician or internist.
