I love Dr. Woods and her office staff. I started my appointments with them back in November after I found out I was pregnant. Being my first pregnancy, I had no idea what to expect, however, EVERYONE in the office made me feel comfortable and at ease. My first appointment actually ended up being for some complications before I even had had my initial appointment, so everyone helped to make me feel comfortable with that as well. The actual office is very nice and doesn't feel all clinical like some do. It's very homey, comfortable, but yet clean feeling. The front office staff has always been friendly and even over the phone they treat you respectfully and are very helpful. I've never had to wait very long before going back, maybe 10-15 minutes at most, and I usually arrive early, so I've not had too much of an issue with wait time. I absolutely LOVE Maria. She is so down to earth and sweet and if willing to answer questions over the phone and guide you. Even when I feel like I'm overly concerned, she is willing to listen and offer advice on what I should do or take (medication wise). I can't remember the ultrasound lady's name, but she has been very, very sweet every time I have seen her, I believe it's been three times up to this point. Super nice lady and you can tell she cares a great deal about what she is doing and is greatly concerned about and happy for your baby and pregnancy. Lastly, Dr. Woods! She is amazing. I've never felt more comfortable with a health care provider. Especially with the intimacy of what an OB-GYN does, she is great! It has always been a very comfortable setting, even at my very first visit, and every time since. She take her time with you and allows you to ask as many questions as you have, never showing any impatience or a need to get to her next appointment. Because of this reason, I do not mind whatsoever if I have to wait maybe 15 minutes for her to come in, because I know she is giving someone else just as much time and assurance that she gives to me and I never feel that I will have my time cut short. She's very informative on what is going on at present and what your next couple of visits will look like. For all of the reasons above, this is why I will continue to stay at this office even during the interim of Dr. Woods being out on bed rest and having a temporary doctor. I'm hoping that she may be back by the time I deliver, only 7 more weeks until due date, but I am not hanging my hopes on that as I know that it is important for her to take care of herself and her baby. But, really the office staff is what is keeping me from searching for another doctor as well. If I just loved Dr. Woods but wasn't all that impressed by her office and staff, I might look elsewhere while she is gone, BUT because THEY ARE ALL AWESOME, I'll wait it out and see what happens! :)
