I've seen Dr. Serrano 3 times in the three years I've been with him, I'm due for my annual visit next month in May. I've had two regular check ups and an emergency. The initial wait in the wait room before being taken back is very short lived and super quick! However, once I've finished my pre-screening with the nurse the wait in my private room is more lengthy than I'd like. Grace is given however, because I know Dr. Serrano is busy and sees every patient including myself with care. If I have any questions he's answered them extensively, reassures me, and makes sure I understand the answer he's giving. My first visit seemed rather rushed, but I learned that Dr. Serrano has many other patients to care for. You must put yourself out there for him to respond otherwise he won't probe or make small talk with you. (Maybe he does with expecting woman, but I am not expecting, nor trying.) The nurses are SUPER sweet. Honestly, those ladies in there make you feel like they're your friends, but answer your questions delicately, honestly, and in a caring manner. I've even made a few phone calls sporadically and the nurses answered my questions over the phone. I've had some difficulties with one receptionist. There have been two that I've interacted with. There is one has a more prominent accent and it is hard to understand her and she sounds like she does not enjoy working. She also treats me like I'm not relevant. The other sounds very outgoing and takes her time working with you. She DOES make me feel welcome, whereas the other (prominent accent lady) does not. Without hesitation I'd recommend Dr. Serrano, but I would also mention to just hurdle the one receptionist if she calls you. She does not reflect Dr. Serrano or his nurses care and practice.
