Dr El-Khashab's practice demonstrates a rare and non-superficial quality and warmth that seems to have largely faded away as time has passed and the medical industry has morphed in so many ways. The issues important to me (as a patient) were very well addressed during my visit, and I didn't even provide a list of expectations prior to my appt. • Setting the appt was a breeze on ZocDoc • Communication was painless prior to appt • I simply had to sign here and there upon arrival • Within 12 min I was summoned to an exam room • I was immediately separated from my shoes and sat on an exam chair • I provided a cursory introduction to my ailments to the RN • The Doctor appeared after about 5 min of me staring at wall • I gave a more in-depth debrief of my foot problem to the Doctor and she very pleasantly and agreeably understood the issue quickly and proffered a few solutions along with clarification of respective pros and cons associated with each option I chose the option which allowed me to have a procedure right then and there, which Dr El-Khashab managed to finalize preparation within 5 mins. I felt as if I was in good hands, caring expertise and a truly empathetic professional who almost immediately engaged me in dialog about my past and showed what can only surmise was genuine interest—which adequately distracted me from some of the unavoidable pain associated with the procedure. She managed to make me feel confident in her expertise, excel beyond my expectations and made me wish she was also an Internist and not just a Podiatrist, because I need to find one of those too. I would characterize Dr El-Khashab as a rare exception in the dreadful maze of navigating to find better than average Doctors to whom we conscribe our very health with little prior qualification or objective recommendation. Go see her! Tell her I explained to you that your right big toe (furthest to left) has a secret code name: Toe Number One.
