I've had an ingrown toenail removed by doctors many times before, and this was, by far, the best experience I've ever had. In fact, this is one of the best doctor's I have ever had, hands down, regardless of specialty. He clearly knows what he's doing, he minimized the pain as much as possible for the procedure I had to have done, he's extremely competent, and EXTREMELY personable and genuine. When I've had this done elsewhere, not only did the ingrown return, but other doctors have had to use double the amount of shots to achieve the same numbing effect before beginning the procedure, and those shots are VERY painful because of where they are administered. He managed to accomplish the same numbing effect with only 4 shots instead of 8, used a cooling spray to minimize that pain as much as possible, and once the actual procedure began (procedure is painless because you are numb), I watched him do it and his work was very neat, efficient, and accurate. He understands the importance of keeping in mind how the end product will look as well as feel (because I had the procedure done where they permanently remove the side of the nail by killing the root so that it won't grow back as in in-grown again). This guy knows what he's doing. He even offered me water while we were waiting for the numbing effect to kick in so that he could begin the procedure. I'm going to have to have the same thing done on the other foot, and although I wish I didn't have to, since I do, I'm looking forward to returning here.
