Practice Statement

Dr. Mary Ruth Buchness studied the Biochemical Sciences at Harvard University, graduating with honors. She then completed her MD degree at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she remained and completed her dermatology residency. Dr. Buchness was board-certified and became a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology in 1986. After residency, she became a ... member of the full-time faculty at New York University Medical School, where she was the Assistant Chief of Dermatology at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manhattan.
Dr. Buchness went into private practice in the West Village in the year 2000. In order to provide the best services and facilities for her patients, she opened a beautiful new office in Soho on June 1, 2009.
