I went to Dr. Henry Merola for a general health check up and an allergy panel test. Pros: 1. Obtaining an appointment was extremely easy (thru ZocDoc online portal) and all results of my visit are available online thru another patient gateway portal. 2. Dr. Merola was very friendly and re-assuring. Through personal experience, I feel that Dr. Merola is the person who does not overly dramatize things and gives you a clear picture of your situation. He also does not indulge in scare tactics and unnecessarily recommend tests and so on. 3. Dr. Merola is spot on in his analysis and takes the time to know his patients. My first visit almost took 45 minutes, in which he asked me about my background and made an effort to understand my medical history. 4. Dr. Merola uses modern equipment and test methods to make both our lives easier. Cons: 1. Wait time is too much. I waited an hour in spite of being on time. 2. The most frustrating part was that, the tests I had come in for could not be completed. I wanted to get an allergy panel and blood work done; however, the person who did the blood work was unavailable. I had asked the doctor's assistant over the phone (a day before the appointment) if it was possible to do the tests I needed - and they had said yes. However, when I saw the doctor, I was informed that the tests cannot be done! This completely threw me off. They were extremely busy that day and one person was managing everything; hence the mis-communication I was told. Hence, I have to schedule another appointment to get the required tests done. Overall, satisfied.
