Professional Statement

Dr. Alicia R. Carter's practice is devoted to the non-operative management of various orthopedic conditions, including neck and back pain, sports injuries, performing arts injuries and osteoarthritis. After a comprehensive evaluation, patients will receive a treatment plan consisting of activity modification, therapeutic exercise, medications and/or injection procedures. Alternative/Complimentary treatments are sometimes recommended when appropriate. Dr. Carter strongly believes that prevention is the best treatment and therefore, a significant part of the treatment plan will also focus on injury prevention.

The office visit experience is unique in offering personalized concierge-type services. Wait time for consultations and procedures is minimal and can often be performed on the same, or next, day in a comfortable, quiet, professional office atmosphere. Appointments are scheduled to allow Dr. Carter ample time to fully understand the symptoms her patients are experiencing. The office is equipped with diagnostic ultrasound, fluoroscopy (video x-ray) and electrodiagnostic equipment for same-day diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Carter is always available for her patients via phone, email or pager.

Her clientele include college and professional athletes, Broadway performers, professional dancers, musicians and weekend warriors. Many physicians and other health professionals seek her care for their own orthopedic conditions.
