A prosthodontists is a dentist who specializes in restoring and replacing teeth that have been damaged or lost. They can treat stained, chipped, missing, or decaying teeth. Treatment can include crowns and veneers (which contain a cavity and stop decay), as well as bridges, dentures, and implants (which replace missing teeth). Prosthodontists perform some types of oral surgery.
