Dr. Matt Gialanella grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. In 2000, Matt graduated from Toms River High School North and attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. At Wake, Matt was president of his fraternity, a director of the Volunteer Service Corps, and an active member of the pre-dental society. He graduated in 2004 with a major in communications and pre-dental studies.
Dr. Gialanella is a 2009 graduate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey—New Jersey Dental School in Newark, NJ. During his time at UMDNJ, he was President of his dental class for 2 years as well as President of New Jersey Dental School Student Government Association.
After graduating from UMDNJ, Dr. Gialanella was accepted into a General Practice Residency at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. During this one-year residency program, Dr. Gialanella received extensive training in oral surgery, fixed prosthodonitics, removable prosthodontics, and operative dentistry.
Dr. Gialanella is new to the area, and is enjoying exploring the DC/Virginia area. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Anne. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, traveling, and has recently started training for a triathlon. He is excited to join Dr. Dudley and the rest of the Virginia Dental Center. …
