Dentistry is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to become a dentist to be able to be of service to my community." Dr. Nazanin Morshedi graduated from Guy's Hospital University of London in 1996. In 1997 she moved to United States and completed a 2 year residency course at the University of San Francisco and obtained a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She has a passion for dentistry and provides the highest standard of care for improving patient's oral health and giving the patients the smile that they have always wanted. She continuously attends seminars to keep up to date with the latest technology and products available. Dr Morshedi has completed her advance studies in one of the world's most renowned advance studies centers called LVI in Neuromuscular dentistry. Dr. Morshedi is a true believer of providing options to the patients and leaving the final decision to the individual. She is proud to provide pain free dental care. She also likes to provide follow up care to all her patients, works with the most qualified lab technicians and top of the line specialists to produce the best results for each individual. Dr. Morshedi is currently living in the Peninsula with her husband and son.

This was probably one of the worst dental experiences I've had - I felt that Dr. Morshedi was always trying to sell me something and get me to use products that I didn't need. The first time I went to her, she was trying to sell me on invisalign - my teeth are fine, i've had braces in the past. I asked my current doctor if i needed invisalign and he said it would be a waste of my paycheck. The second time I saw her, she was trying to sell me on using this machine that massages my jaws?! It looked like an ancient piece of equipment. On top of that, her dental assistant was very rough with the way he handled the tools and extremely chatty - I went to her about twice before I finally had enough.
This was my first visit to Dr. Morshedi's office, and I will not be back. As soon as I walked into the office, the dental assistant began showing me all the successful procedures they've had fixing teeth. It was a bit pushy, as I hadn't even had a chance to put my stuff down yet. He was very courteous, but I could tell the doctor required him to give me this spiel. Once I was in the patient room, I received x-rays, which were quick and relatively painless, and was able to see the dentist immediately (I was the only patient in the office at the time). Upon looking at my x-rays (I only had my side teeth, not my front, x-rayed), she immediately suggested I get Invisalign (I have very crowded/crooked teeth, so not a bad suggestion). When I said that previous dentists had said that Invisalign would not work for me because I had a problem with my front teeth (4-5 dentists have told me that I will need surgery), and that maybe we should look at x-rays of my front teeth, she immediately dismissed this and said that Invisalign would work perfectly. I tried to emphasize that all my previous dentists have said I'd need surgery, but she still insisted Invisalign would work. I stopped pushing the point, and she proceeded to clean my teeth. I think she did a good job with that (my teeth feel much less abused than they usually do when I leave a doctor's office). However, when I was getting ready to leave, she said that her administrative assistant had already made my next appointment. I had no intention of returning at this point, so now I am dismayed that I have to call and cancel the appointment. She offers patients a page of coupons to give to your friends, and if one comes in and "becomes a patient", promises a gift card. I will not be giving this to anyone, however.
Tried to push high margin items like veneers and tried to diagnose sleep apnea for an insurance reimbursement which makes no sense for a dentist. They viewed me as an ATM machine - not a patient. I am also not sure that I even got a proper cleaning since the actual dentist was with me for such a short time and didn't seem to do much. This place is a sham.

The most personal dentist appointment I've ever had. Everyone was pleasant and introduced themselves. They all clearly love their job. Catherine (office manager?), addressed me by my name as if I was truly expected (vs a sign in sheet where you're lucky to get a "hello" from the desk) and even had a "bill" to let me know how much my follow up repair would cost in advance. Dr. Morshedi and John (I hope I remembered his name correctly), worked together very well and respect each other a lot. Other dentist offices made me uncomfortable with how the dentist would treat their staff poorly, but all of them have equal respect for each other and truly being present to their patients. I felt as if my hour were truly mine since everyone gave me all their care for the duration (from advance bill prep, to explaining everything along the way, to engaging me like a human instead of another mouth!).
Everyone at the office was very pleasant and accomodating, from the receptionist to the dental hygienist to Dr. Morshedi herself. The hygienist gave me a "tour" of the office though which was kinda weird, basically showing me the pictures of the various things they can do to make your teeth look nicer. He also asked a few times at various points about Invisalign and things like that, though he dropped it once I clearly expressed disinterest. All in all, definitely planning to come back in 6 months.

Great service, polite staff, didn't push cosmetic treatments. Overall, a great experience! Equipment isn't the newest, but I was only needing a cleaning.
