About Dr. Svetlana Yampolsky
With specialties in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers, Dr. Stephanie Yampolsky serves the New York area with efficiency and compassion. Her practice treats each visitor as a whole, and includes patients as active partners in their care.
Dr. Yampolsky delivers specialized services like porcelain veneers, lumineers, zirconium bridges, porcelain crowns, metal free fillings, juviderm, Zoom, power bleaching, and Botox. Informed by 12 years of practice experience, she truly believes that alternative therapies enhance patients’ health. She also believes that traditional dental care misses a great opportunity for healing by not using such tools as foot reflexology, aromatherapy, hand paraffin, meditation, and other therapies. Her practice offers these services to patients while they are getting their teeth cleaned, which minimizes anxiety and helps to promote healing.
After attending dental school at NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Yampolsky completed a residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. She has since furthered her training in a variety of ways, including a one-year postgraduate course in cosmetic dentistry. Her hard work to better serve her patients has been recognized with awards like Cambridge Who's Who "Professional of the Year" in 2008.
In addition to treating patients, Dr. Yampolsky is proud to serve as Clinical Associate Professor at New York University College of Dentistry. When she has free time, she loves to read and paint. She also spends as much time with her son as she can, and enjoys hobbies like skiing.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this office! I have been going to this dentist for the last year and a half and I am a CHICKEN! From the from desk to walking out, i would highly recommend their team.

The team here is friendly but I would never go back there again. I don't have great teeth and have always had lots of dental issues which I explained to them when I came in. My first appointment was for a cleaning, which was done by a very nice and thorough woman but they kept me there for nearly 3 hours on a week day. I missed a work lunch. I then went back several times for different procedures and every time, I felt shamed for having bad teeth. After several visits and an extreme amount spent, I finally just stopped going.

The receptionist and dentist were extremely nice and treated me awesome. While I had to wait 45 minutes from the time I entered the office to see the main dentist, I think it was worth the wait. They were extremely thorough and took the time to inspect every tooth. The dentist sat with me afterward to discuss follow up and how to best maintain my teeth. He really cared which is hard to find in the city

Found Stephanie on Zocdoc and originally chose her for her availability - I was experiencing pain and I could see her at lunch. Her and her whole team in the office are great and based on the quick, easy treatment she provided me as well as a discussion about what caused this and recommendations for how to stop it from happening again, I have another appointment scheduled with the office next week to continue care. Also thought it was great that they sit down with you after your visit to discuss what your insurance covers vs. out of pocket expenses so you have a full understanding of what you are getting in to.

I was not impressed by the office -- which has peeling murals and discolored ceiling tiles (a constant view when in the dentist's chair). But that wasn't what really disappointed me about Dr. Yampolsky's office. It was being quoted incorrect insurance information and having unnecessary (and poorly aimed) xrays performed! Dr. Ymapolsky, however, had a very good bedside manner, and explained all of my results clearly.

I had a really exceptional visit with Stephanie and her team. I have a big anxiety with dentists. This is due to past negligence of dentists not thoroughly explaining procedures in order for me to weigh in on a reasonable decision for myself, as well as decisions made by dentists in the past that have put my very well-being in jeopardy (non sterilized equipment). I will not go into it here online, but I let Stephanie and her team know about my past and history so she could understand my worries and concerns. She was amazing, giving me full explanations, giving me options so that I may decide for myself how best to proceed. Her staff was lovely and helped me find an in-network oral surgeon and helped me go over pricing options for other care not covered by my insurance, without feeling ripped off. I felt completely comfortable here and taken well care of. Thank you!

This was my first time with this dentist, and I thought she was not personable at all. Her assistant was very friendly, but she was detached and indifferent. The receptionists also were oddly pushy about making my next appointment right then and there. I told them I'd do it online like I did this time, but they insisted I did it at the time. I don't want to go back to this office in 6 months.

I had an excellent experience at Dr. Yampolsky's office. I was super-impressed by the time that she took to go through exactly what she saw when she conducted her examination. The hygienist was pleasant and, more important, professional. I was particularly impressed by the technology that they used to both record the examination and to facilitate it; when the doctor wanted to illustrate an issue, she used a camera that projected an image on a flat-screen monitor right in front of me. It was an excellent appointment and I look forward to visiting her again.

I had a severe case, neglected, several teeth needed to be repaired.
Dr. Yampolsky explained everything about my condition, designed a treatment plan and took an excellent care of my problems.

I thought I was going for a check-up/cleaning but I needed to schedule a second appointment for a cleaning. I wish I would have known that going in to the appointment. It also ended up being too difficult to schedule an appointment as they had no openings for 2 months.

My visit was great. I had not been to a dentist in a while, having moved cities and she was very polite and nice. Apart from my bi-annual cleaning, the doctor suggested I could get Invisalign and I was told that my health plan would reimburse a good amount back. The whole staff there is great and I have already recommended people to go there after my first consultation.
